A Female Police Officer's Criminal Investigation Notes from the Nineties

After dying in the line of duty, Mo Lin opens her eyes again in the 1990s, now a young female police officer assigned to a small local station.

On her very first day on the job, she receives a report.

The person reporting it says their tenant has been missing for some time, and the neighbors nearby have noticed an intensely foul, nauseating stench coming from the rented house.

With a bad feeling, the landlord rushes back from out of town. When their key will not open the door to the rental, they call the police for help.

Mo Lin and her colleagues accompany the landlord to the rental and ask a locksmith to open the door. What they see is a scene they will never forget.

Dried, blackened blood stains cover the rooms. A highly decomposed female corpse lies in a grotesque state, mysterious symbols are painted on the wall in blood, and disorderly footprints cover the floor. Every detail tells of a bizarre murder.

The detective's soul inside Mo Lin blazes to life. She immediately surveys the scene, searches for clues, and works with the criminal investigation unit to unravel the evidence, dispel the fog, and hunt down the killer. In the end, they bring the culprit to justice.

But Mo Lin is only a local beat cop, not a criminal investigator. Determined to join the criminal investigation unit and continue the career she had in the modern era, she takes the initiative to show up at the scenes of one case after another, proving her investigative skills.

A missing child, a dismembered body in a reservoir, a serial murder... With her involvement, case after case is solved.

Her colleagues and superiors begin to see her in a new light, and even the head of the criminal investigation unit praises her. In the end, she earns her place on the team through her own abilities.
