If you compete, come in first.” Then he transmigrates to another world where campus delinquents run rampant. System: Ready to become the strongest delinquent? Sheng Yuan: “...” Sheng Yuan only wants to study, but he has to surpass the leader of the delinquents to stay alive, so he sets out on the path of delinquency. Skip class? No problem. He leaves during the last five minutes of class. System: Hey!!! Spend all night at an internet cafe? No problem. He listens to the evening news all night long. Internet cafe patrons: ??? When challenged to meet in the woods at 10:30, Sheng Yuan is at a loss and says he can't go. His opponent: “What, scared?!” Sheng Yuan: “No, I'm not allowed out after 10:30.” His opponent: “...” Before long, Sheng Yuan's unorthodox antics make him famous in delinquent circles. His delinquency score drops into the negatives, and he even gets the delinquent boss to go straight. Sheng Yuan: “Hi, handsome. Want to go do homework together in the woods out back?” Yu Zuojin meets Sheng Yuan one lush, green summer. He has a congenital hearing impairment and relies on hearing aids to hear the world around him. When he meets Sheng Yuan, his hearing aid has just broken. He sees a boy standing beneath the shade of a tree, mouthing a few words to him. I like you. Yu Zuojin rejects him on the spot. Sheng Yuan: “Classmate, you dropped some money.” Yu Zuojin: “I don't need it.” Sheng Yuan: ? Then it's mine. (Pockets it.) Bonus scene “Do you have anything to say about being the System for delinquent boss Sheng Yuan?” [The System lights a cigarette: In private, he works through Five-Year College Entrance Exam, Three-Year Simulation and Huanggang exam books, too.] It became Sheng Yuan's System, and the System community will tease it for the rest of its life. Zhou Jun and Ying Yuze both entered No. 1 High School as top scorers in the high school entrance exam, but they were sworn enemies who could never get along. The difference was that Ying Yuze, the handsome heartthrob of the north side of town, was tall and long-legged, with countless admirers and no shortage of suitors. Zhou Jun, on the other hand, was aloof and reserved. Looking at the mountain of love letters on his desk, one of his lackeys flatters him while taking a jab at Zhou Jun. “You really are the man, Brother Ying. That Zhou Jun kid always looks like he's at a funeral. No way he'd know how to treat someone right. Forget dating, I bet he's never even gotten a love letter.” Ying Yuze glances at the thin figure ahead, the corner of his mouth curling into a malicious smile. “That guy? Not even a dog would date him.” That night, Ying Yuze transmigrates into Zhou Jun's family's dog, a big-bottomed corgi. Ying Yuze: ??? During their first semester of high school, Ying Yuze is intensely curious about Zhou Jun, but every time he contrives to run into him or strike up a conversation, all he gets is a cold look. Zhou Jun can be gently explaining a problem to someone one moment, but the second he sees Ying Yuze, his face sours. Before long, Ying Yuze has no friendly looks for him, either. Now that he's a dog, Ying Yuze is being held in someone's arms while they admire photos of him on Zhou Jun's phone. Zhou Jun gazes at him fondly. “Dazhuang, look how handsome your dad is.” Ying Yuze looks at the photo, then at Zhou Jun. Well, would you look at that. This little guy has two faces! Later, when one of his lackeys sees Zhou Jun score one point higher than Ying Yuze, he says, “So what if he gets good grades? Zhou Jun wouldn't even date a dog.” Ying Yuze scowls. “Who are you calling a dog?” Zhou Jun: “I'll only date a dog.” Ying Yuze: “Even as a dog, I'm still the most handsome one!” Theme: Shine bright even in adversity
