The Young Master and the Pretty Boy

I stopped updating because the tragic story kept turning into slapstick halfway through, and the whole thing felt awkward.

[Over-the-top melodrama, different in style from my other works]

Mu Xian is a comic artist. He creates with passion, but often gets called in for a talking-to because he doesn't consider his fans' feelings.

His editor pointed at a mosaic-covered area. "You drew it too big. It could upset some male readers."

"No way. Lots of people are that big."

"Who?"

"My ex-boyfriend."

With a bang, the office door flew open, and her ex-boyfriend appeared out of nowhere.

Mu Xian: *screams internally, clutching head*

In high school, Qin Heng picked on Mu Xian out of sheer mischief, enjoying Mu Xian's love without restraint. In the end, he told him it had all been a bet with his friends, and the stakes were just a pair of sneakers.

"I'm not interested in pretty boys like you. I was just playing around."

"Stop chasing after me. I wouldn't want you even if you threw yourself at me."

Mu Xian cried himself dry by the sea. His first love had turned into a prank. He cut off contact with everyone and left for eight years.

Qin Weichu fell for a lively, adorable young star, only to learn that she was already married. Just as he was about to become someone's other man, his older brother Qin Heng dragged him back and slapped him twice.

"What a disgrace."

A few months later, on his way home after a night shoot, Qin Weichu saw his older brother entangled with someone on the street.

Qin Heng stood like a mountain, blocking Mu Xian from leaving, acting utterly submissive. "Don't leave me. I don't need a title. Can I be the other man for you?"

"I've already looked into it. Sure, you've got a husband and a kid, but you don't have a third yet!"

"Perfect! Happiness comes in threes, and now you've got your third!"

Qin Weichu: ???

.

Unwilling to watch his older brother keep throwing himself away.

Qin Weichu: "Big brother, stop."

Qin Heng: But he said I wash clothes better than his husband.

Qin Heng: It's just happiness...

Qin Weichu: ...

When someone else is the other man, Qin Heng: "What a disgrace."

When he's the other man, Qin Heng: "A love for the ages."

Reader's note: The love interest isn't married and isn't cheating. The protagonist is straight at first, then turns gay, and has dated women (in name only, nothing happened between them. Please don't imagine anything the author hasn't written yet or make baseless accusations).

Content warnings: Both are inexperienced, melodramatic plot, the love interest is a scumbag, later becomes the other man for love

Theme: There is genuine love in this world
