After I Started an Online Relationship with Amuro Tooru

Kamizato Sora decided to meet his online boyfriend in person. After dressing up carefully, he went to their agreed-upon meeting place, only to be greeted by thunder, lightning, and pouring rain.

He went home drenched to the bone and developed a high fever that night, nearly burning his brain to a crisp.

Dazed Kamizato Sora: I must really have burned my brain. I actually thought I was a manga character...

Clear-headed Kamizato Sora: I really am a manga character!

The manga is called Detective Conan, but Kamizato Sora is neither a famous detective nor named Conan. He's a background character in one of the theatrical films based on the manga.

Even more shocking than finding out he was a manga character was learning that his world was a theatrical film. The film's theme is an inversion of the Red and Black factions, and because its characters' sides conflict with the main story, the world he lives in can never become part of the main continuity.

Even more shocking, his boyfriend is an important character in the main continuity, and they had been in a cross-world online relationship.

Kamizato Sora suddenly understood why their in-person meeting had failed.

Once he realized his boyfriend hadn't stood him up on purpose, he got excited at once. Kamizato Sora, who never gives up, decided to merge the theatrical film into the main continuity.

Kamizato Sora: I'm going to meet him in person no matter what!
