Undercover Agents Must Not Play Pretend

[Pure Black Bourbon]

Bourbon feels like something about his life is off. No matter where he works, he always ends up with the same assignment: go undercover.

The Organization sends him to Port Mafia. From Port Mafia, he goes to the Armed Detective Agency. After joining the Agency, he's packed off to the police academy. He graduates without a hitch and joins Public Security, only to end up back in the Organization.

The Boss falls silent when Bourbon comes home again. Weren't you sent to Port Mafia? Why are you back?

Bourbon: Port Mafia sent me over here again.

Bourbon: I didn't lie. I just left out a tiny detail. A billionth of a detail.

Since Bourbon's been sent back, he can't return without any intel. Mr. Rum, who's so clever it has given him eye trouble, has a flash of inspiration.

Rum: Bourbon, tell them the Organization sent you to infiltrate the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.

Bourbon: ???

Bourbon: The Tokyo police won't send him undercover again, right...?

A blond, baby-faced mixed-race officer joins the Second Investigative Division of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, causing a sensation throughout the department on his very first day. With his looks and abilities both far too impressive, he's sent to Beika Town to investigate a certain intelligent criminal undercover.

Disguised as Amuro Tooru and heading to Cafe Poirot, Bourbon becomes an internet-famous waiter on his first day on the job.

Bourbon thinks his undercover streak should finally end here. But after a week of being mobbed by fans, a new assignment arrives.

The boss pulls out a flyer for a certain cafe.

Boss: Mr. Amuro, I'm counting on you! Please apply for a job there and help me spy on the competition!!!

Now working at the cafe downstairs from the Armed Detective Agency, Bourbon receives his Nth paycheck and falls silent.

Bourbon: I'm tired of saying, "Stop nesting assignments within assignments..."
