This Absurd Ninja World

Senju Mitsuo had lived for decades, and felt that the best thing he'd ever done was recognize the big liar who everyone thought was dead, but who was actually alive and playing with people's feelings, wearing an incredibly ugly mask as he walked down the path to becoming a war reporter. Mitsuo refused to let go, no matter what anyone said, and bundled him straight back to Konoha.

Now that big liar is my boyfriend.

Oh, wait, that's not the point. The point is that my boyfriend, drunk out of his mind, used Kamui to send me to a place that looks familiar but is actually completely strange.

What about Minato? Oh, he's dead.

Kushina? Huh? She's dead too.

Rin? How come she's gone too!

My teammates? Neither of my teammates is here?

Why hasn't Obito returned to the village all this time??? Are you gone too?!

What kind of messed-up world is this!

Kamui works pretty well. Not only did it send me to another world, it even came with the bonus of making me a few years younger. Senju Mitsuo wiped his face and decided that, once he got back, Obito would be doing all the housework for the next year.

It wasn't until much later, when Senju Mitsuo saw a masked man calling himself Tobi, that he finally understood. That familiar ugly mask, that familiar affected, performative voice, that familiar Kamui... So the Obito here hadn't died. He'd gone down the path to becoming a war reporter and never come back.

By the way, why are you still using Uchiha Madara as your secret identity?

This absurd world, this absurd Konoha, this absurd war-reporter version of Obito... Senju Mitsuo suddenly missed the one waiting for him back home terribly.

Sorry, Obito. When I get back, I'll only make you do half a year of housework.

So here's the question: when exactly can I go home?
