(Some inspiration comes from Suguru Geto's Starting Over From Zero)
Satoru Gojo had always been the strongest, no matter when.
But being the strongest didn't mean he could protect everyone.
Being the strongest could even become a burden, forcing him to carry everything forward alone and endure things he should never have had to bear.
But when he emerged from the Prison Realm and discovered that everyone he cared about was gone...
The strongest went on a rampage.
What use was being the strongest when not one person he wanted to protect was left?
What meaning did this so-called strength have?
His immense power transcended space, and Satoru Gojo accidentally returned to the day of the "summer of curses" when he was eighteen.
Seeing the deep exhaustion on his best friend's face, Satoru Gojo tried without hesitation to bring him back by defeating him and acting cute. But in the end, the schemes that came one after another during that summer of curses still led to Suguru Geto leaving.
The strongest wasn't omnipotent. He felt that all over again.
Even if you know about a scheme, does that mean you can always prevent it?
From childhood on, he could easily solve most things by being the strongest. But there were a handful of things he couldn't solve, and they made him lose everything.
Fortunately, there was still a way.
Like a game, this world let him start over and reload as many times as he wanted. All he had to do was die again.
Satoru Gojo punched his left fist into his right palm. He got it.
In that case...
...There was too much he didn't understand. He didn't understand people's hearts or schemes, or how to make things right. He only knew how to throw a punch, and life's hardships had worn down his sharp edges, forcing him to compromise for the sake of the people he cared about.
But he could learn these things too, and try again and again.
If one try wasn't enough, he'd try twice. If twice wasn't enough, three times. If three times weren't enough, a hundred, a thousand, ten thousand times. He'd stake his life on achieving the final happy ending!
There was nothing the strongest couldn't do!
If the summer of curses was the problem, he'd find a way to address the root cause and change his best friend's extreme views from the ground up. If he couldn't escape his responsibilities, he'd replace everyone who burdened him and held him back. The Gojo Clan might be useless, but they could at least hold the line for half a day, which was enough time for him to find someone capable of carrying the load. As for schemes, he'd dismantle them one by one. That was what reloading was for. If anyone dared to reach too far, he'd tear their heads off. If a student was sentenced to death and there was no other solution, he'd get rid of the people who handed down the sentence. And that brain thing? He'd hurry up and toss it into the pot for hot pot...
He died again and again, fought with all his might again and again, and at last, the Happy Ending came.
"I told you, I'm the strongest!" The Six-Eyed Divine Child hooked a finger under his blindfold and flashed an incredibly confident, cocky smile.
If you're the strongest, you can do anything, right?
"So, Strongest, want to explain this?" His friends and classmates, who had gained a whole string of inexplicable memories after the Happy Ending, approached with mysterious smiles. "What made you think we'd be unmoved by your death?"
"..." The strongest fell silent.
The strongest turned and ran.
Help!
Weren't we supposed to reload without keeping our memories?
PS: I started writing this because every Jujutsu Kaisen fix-it story I read was either a fanfic character transmigrating into the story, a different version of Satoru Gojo from a parallel world showing up to save the day (usually a cosplayer), an original fanfic character stepping in, an original character transmigrating in, a dose of patriotic education, or else that summer of curses and everything that followed never happened at all...
I wanted to write a story about the Satoru Gojo from the original world, remembering everything and repeatedly saving himself.
I believe he can do it.
His will is so strong, and his eyes are so bright.
He deserves to win this battle. He just doesn't know how to play his cards, and has ended up wasting a hand that should have won.
I want to see him turn his life around against the odds and embrace the flowers meant for him.
