I'm a Magical Girl, Not a Snarky Sidekick

Something is definitely off with the modern magical-girl business that has been booming lately.

After finishing her research on Magical Girl M, Yoshioka Takiko stared gravely at the strange white corgi in front of her, who claimed to be the manager of the Magical Girl Human Resources Department. She couldn't help wondering why she'd been chosen.

She wasn't in middle or high school, she had no dreams of world peace, and she wasn't some office worker who believed in truth, goodness, and beauty. How could this corgi, Yabai, be so blind as to pick her?

She'd be much better off spending that time making money.

Yabai: Magical girls earn five hundred thousand yen a month.

Right away, boss! No problem, boss! A magical girl? She's totally on board. She can instantly reclaim her childhood innocence, believe in the beauty of the world, and dedicate her life to protecting it!

Yabai: But you're about to die, so we'll extend your life in exchange for your work. Based on a four-year contract, you currently owe us twenty-five million yen.

Yoshioka Takiko: ...

With debts piling up, Takiko took it all in stride and gave up on worrying in no time. But she never expected magical-girl powers to be contagious. After accidentally turning her seriously ill neighbor's little sister, a warmhearted and popular high school girl, and a cynical passerby searching for meaning into coworkers, what little conscience Takiko had left wouldn't let her stand by and do nothing.

In short, she became a sometimes-reliable magical girl, the senpai edition, and uses the righteous iron fist of an office worker, in the literal sense, to wipe out all darkness!

[This is the story of an indebted office worker who got tricked into becoming a magical girl. Because she's so levelheaded, she grumbles about her unscrupulous guide dog while saving the world.]

Who knew magical girls worked for a legitimate company?! Is nobody going to do something about this huge guide dog that acts first and asks questions later? Does anyone remember that she was tricked into becoming a magical girl?!
