[Blue Lock] The Big Talker's Self-Help Guide

What would you do if, one day, everything you'd once said offhandedly came true, but you were still the same person as before? What would you do when everyone looked at you in confusion?

Duh!! Hurry up and make up lies to explain all the lies you've told!!

As a compulsive braggart, Mu Xinye Naze lives by three rules.

One: Every lie needs countless more lies to back it up.

Two: If you look steady and confident enough, people will believe even the most ridiculous things.

Three: When you're out in the world, you get to decide who you are.

During Truth or Dare, someone asks about her love life, while an annoying suitor watches her intently.

Naze raises an eyebrow and makes something up on the spot: Her boyfriend is a genius young heir worth hundreds of billions. He's handsome and adorable, and she loves him to bits.

Well, it's true that she has his merch hanging on her bag.

To make this "boyfriend" sound believable, Naze casually invents a whole backstory for herself: she's the real daughter in a switched-at-birth story, and she ran away from home. A friend from Huaguo helped her come up with it.

But the next morning, she stares at the trophies and medals filling the bare cabinet in her house and listens to a helicopter landing outside. She can't help but fall into deep thought.

Great.

Should she deal with all these talents she never had first?

Or with the old butler outside calling for her to inherit the family business?

Or should she go back to bed and get some sleep to avoid reality?

And that's not all. She has to give the freshman representative speech as the top new student, despite barely ranking in the top fifty, after only two months of summer break. She also has to find a way to avoid every competition and become the group's heir within a year.

Sure, sure.

What's it like to become a rich heiress?

Thanks for asking. It's great, but after trying hard not to let down the butler and her Schrodinger's parents, or turn into a nouveau riche heiress, Naze decides that in her next life she absolutely wants to be a useless rich kid who only inherits money, not responsibility.

Just when she's finally found her footing, Naze suddenly learns from a friend that she has a boyfriend at another school.

Apparently he's purple-haired and purple-eyed, handsome, and top of his class. His good qualities are too numerous to count, like the stars in the sky.

And he's worth 705.8 billion.

Naze: ...

Wow.

Her fave character has become her boyfriend?

Putting the family business on hold. She needs to deal with her... shrine to her fave first.

...So, it's one thing that my offhand boasts suddenly came true, but why has the wall between dimensions been broken too?!

1. The heroine is a very calculating, beautiful girl who can make everyone give in just by acting vulnerable and cute. It's a very clichéd trope, so if it bothers you, read at your own risk.

2. The pairing is Mikage Reo. It's a light, ordinary, everyday romance. Probably.

Theme: You have to get back up after a fall, but it's okay to take a break first.
