When Yue Ying was little, a fever damaged her, leaving her a dim-witted girl whom no one liked. Missing her mother, she sneaked out of the manor to look for her. She failed to find her mother and almost died.
Fortunately, the abbess of a nunnery rescued her and took her in. She stayed there for several years.
Just as Yue Ying had saved enough money to leave the nunnery and search for her mother, a group of uninvited guests in black armor suddenly arrived. Their leader wore a mask and held a skewer of candied hawthorns.
He was none other than the current emperor, Zhongli Yu.
By chance, Yue Ying got a clear look at Zhongli Yu's face.
Yue Ying could not remember what her mother looked like, but she knew her mother was the most beautiful woman in the world. So, quite naturally, she mistook the tyrant for her mother.
She claimed him as family on the spot, tears in her eyes, looking pitiful. "Mother..."
Looking at Yue Ying before him, Zhongli Yu raised a brow in surprise. "Hm? What did you call me?"
"M-Mother... It's me. Yue... Yue Ying finally found you." Yue Ying cried her eyes out.
Zhongli Yu looked her over. So she was a little silly girl. He smiled. "How interesting."
"You mean I'm your mother, and you're my daughter?"
Yue Ying nodded emphatically.
Zhongli Yu crouched down, his eyes curving into a smile. "Come, my good daughter. Mother will buy you candied hawthorns."
.
The Son of Heaven of Jing, Zhongli Yu, was capricious, cold-blooded, and cruel, with countless lives on his hands. He was a tyrant in every sense of the word.
Everyone was scared to death of him.
In response, Zhongli Yu smiled gently. A tyrant? Nonsense. He considered himself a kind, gentle, reasonable, and benevolent ruler. He was best at being kind to others and treating them generously.
Now he had a daughter. She might be a little slow, but out of kindness and compassion, he had decided to bring her into the palace and take good care of her.
As soon as he returned, Zhongli Yu eagerly summoned all the ministers to the palace.
The ministers thought Zhongli Yu was about to play some other deranged game, and their legs trembled.
But Zhongli Yu merely said, "I have good news for you. I've become a mother. I gave birth to a daughter. Oh, and I just gave birth."
The ministers: "...?!"
Zhongli Yu emphasized it again, showing off proudly. "And I gave birth all by myself. How about that? Impressive, isn't it?"
He did not sound as if he were joking.
After a deathly silence, the ministers stared at him with the strangest expressions, their mouths twitching. Some glanced toward Zhongli Yu's stomach. ...How can a man give birth?
Zhongli Yu smiled sweetly.
.
Before becoming a mother, Zhongli Yu was unpredictable and often had an episode, leaving everyone in the palace on edge.
After becoming a mother, whenever Zhongli Yu was about to lose it and reach for his weapons, Yue Ying would interrupt him with, "Mother, I'm hungry."
Zhongli Yu would expertly hide his blade, turn around, and head to the kitchen to wash his hands and make a meal, no longer wreaking havoc in the world.
From then on, everyone in the palace wanted to put Yue Ying on a pedestal.
Later, the undisputed tyrant somehow became a wise ruler, and he also gained an empress whom he spoiled beyond measure.
Little scene.
One day, Zhongli Yu attended court with three whiskers painted on each cheek beneath his perfectly composed expression.
Another day, Zhongli Yu came to court wearing rabbit ears.
The ministers held their breath, struggling to stifle their laughter.
The next day, Zhongli Yu wore a beautiful floral robe and had all ten fingernails painted. When he saw the ministers trying not to laugh, he cheerfully ordered everyone to change outfits and dance for him.
Before long, the court was filled with dancing demons.
Zhongli Yu brought Yue Ying over and asked her, "Are they dancing well?"
The ministers were on the verge of tears. It seemed that not only had the empress played the emperor for a fool, but they, the ministers, were not spared either!
But they were happy to go along with it, as long as their little ancestor was pleased and His Majesty stopped going crazy!

A sweet, doting romance. The male lead occasionally goes a little crazy. He's a sickly mom-like man.
1. Couple: a nutcase and a little airhead. The female lead is bald, and they have a five-year age gap. The female lead's brain wasn't damaged by a fever; she was poisoned, which dulled her senses.
"Mother" is just a form of address. The male and female leads are not related by blood. A nutcase raises his wife. There is no romance in the early and middle parts, just the everyday life of him raising the female lead. The male lead is focused on being a mom, and the female lead gradually becomes cleverer later on. The romance develops later.
2. One-on-one pairing. The male and female leads are each other's only partners, with a happy ending. Set in an imaginary world, it's a lighthearted, cozy slice-of-life story with a little campy flavor.
Upcoming novel: Why Does Everyone Like an Ordinary Village Girl Like Me?
Tian Luo is a village girl from the countryside. She is plain-looking, honest, and simple, and earns a living by selling tofu. She is over twenty and unmarried, a well-known old maid in the village.
Her life's wish: save money, build up the family business, have some luck in love, and find a decent, honest man she likes the look of.
She should have lived a peaceful, ordinary life, until things changed:
Tian Luo rescued a handsome young master.
He was aloof and noble, with an unparalleled bearing, completely out of place in the countryside and beside Tian Luo. At a glance, he was a nobleman far beyond her reach.
Tian Luo had no designs on him, but she never expected that he had designs on her.
On the day he left, the young master suddenly said he wanted to marry her.
Tian Luo, who knew her place: ... (⊙_☉)
Then the young master said he liked her.
Tian Luo looked as if she had been struck by lightning: ("???)?
After an unexpected incident, Tian Luo got out of bed with every bone in her body aching. She glanced at the young master beside her, closed her eyes, and felt utterly hopeless.
Well... actually, it wasn't so bad.
Having decided to let fate take its course, Tian Luo went with the young master to the bustling capital.
.
Before losing his memory, the young cabinet minister Feng Lanci insisted on marrying a lowborn country girl. Supposedly, this village girl was plain, and no one knew what sordid trick she had used to ensnare the young minister's heart.
If Feng Lanci had not lost his memory, that country woman might really have seen her dream come true.
Feng Lanci's friends and rivals were extremely curious about the village girl and doubted the story.
Someone asked Feng Lanci's younger brother: "Haven't you met her?"
The Second Young Master of the Feng family expressionlessly wiped the knife in his hand and gave a cold, mocking laugh.
He was going to kill the vixen who had defiled his elder brother.
Yet no one knew that the second young master's real thought was: Losing his memory is great. Now I don't even have to do anything.
He was gleeful, unable to suppress his despicable delight.
At the time, the second young master had a little undergarment stolen from Tian Luo tucked in his arms.
Later, they met Tian Luo.
She was exactly as the rumors described.
Plain and ordinary, radiating a crude, country-bumpkin air, with not a single redeeming quality.
They would not deign to look at someone like her. They sneered at her, profoundly disappointed.
Tian Luo understood that they were nobles of the imperial bloodline and the children of powerful families, all high above her and looking down on her.
As it happened, she had no desire to deal with them either.
Heaven had smiled on her by making Feng Lanci lose his memory. Tian Luo was free to focus on her business and earning money.
But Tian Luo never imagined that one day this group of arrogant people would suddenly change. They were no longer cold, haughty, or contemptuous.
One after another, they lowered themselves to buy tofu at her stall. Behind the scenes, they all pressed her at every turn, eyes red as they tried to win her favor and told her they liked her.
Even the already-strange Second Young Master of the Feng family became even stranger.
Tian Luo did not believe them. She thought they were up to no good and wanted to mess with her, so she stayed guarded, wary, and went to great lengths to handle them.
Dealing with a group of people who were all out of their minds every day was exhausting. Tian Luo made a quick escape.
.
After running away, Tian Luo worked hard, and her business flourished. She even found an honest man and married him.
But on the day of her wedding, that group suddenly appeared in a towering rage. They tried to steal the bride and went berserk, even threatening to kill her husband.
Tian Luo was about to protect her husband, only to discover that he was no harmless man either. He had another identity, his face was disguised, and he was a close friend of those people.
Tian Luo stared in shock: ⊙△⊙ Help!
Warnings: 1. Extremely cliched, over-the-top Mary Sue, a universal heartthrob, and a battle royale of love rivals. It has forced marriage, amnesia, brothers fighting over the same woman, close friends at each other's throats, exceptionally gifted young men falling in love at first sight with an ordinary female lead, and all sorts of melodramatic tropes.
The pairings shift through different stages. I'm giving this premise a try.
2. The female lead is plain and ordinary, carefree, and only passably capable of building a business and making a fortune. Later, she evolves into a great con artist.
The male characters include wicked psychopaths and innocent young men, older and younger men, and arrogant elites. They're all a little crazy, and each is devoted to only one person.
3. I don't know if there'll be a male lead. Everyone gets a role, so I'll figure it out as I write. Maybe there won't be a pairing in the end, and everyone will have an unrequited crush.
Thesis: Stay positive and live well
Now that you have a kiss, will it be long before your relationship warms up? (Screaming uncontrollably)
It makes me laugh so hard. Everyone around this male mother is a talented person, including himself.
Male mother, hurry up and help the heroine deal with her scumbag father.
The other party doesn't believe that her mother is alive because she was killed by the other party, right?
Urgent, urgent, urgent! Looking forward to the next chapter!
The mother is worried when her son travels thousands of miles, hahahaha
After cooking, be sure to taste it before giving it to others, or else you will die, haha
Angry male mother asks for a kiss online
Wow hahahahaha, I feel like Yingying needs to realize her heartbeat first
You should be more of a woman
