Pei Muyun, the Sword Immortal

[The blurb for my new serial, Morning! Woodenhead, is at the bottom.]

Blurb:

Pei Muyun fell into another world, where his master rescued him and he became a sword cultivator.

He held fast to his beliefs, protected the people with his sword, upheld the law, and founded the Tianshu Pavilion. His merit grew so great that he reached the threshold of becoming a Sword Immortal, only one step away from ascension.

Pei Muyun didn't want to become an immortal. He chose to retire and return home to keep his master and senior brother company.

However, without realizing it, he inspired a wave of mechanical invention. The original xianxia world began to awaken to a steampunk revolution, and a great upheaval was at hand.

*

His master loves bringing stray little ones home. Both Pei Muyun and his senior brother were strays he took in.

A prophecy says a white dragon will appear tomorrow.

The old monkey at the temple is worried. He's afraid his master will get the urge to take in the white dragon, too.

Pei Muyun: ...It won't come to that. Master doesn't take in absolutely everything.

Just then, the ginseng spirit his master had taken in walked into the room on its root tendrils and sat sulkily on Pei Muyun's shoe.

The old monkey wound up the spring on a mechanical mouse and tossed it to the cats his master had taken in. He was used to this.

*

Many people know that Xie Chunfeng has a beloved cat.

What they don't know is that his beloved cat is his junior brother, Pei Muyun, the revered master of Tianshu Pavilion.

*

This is a romantic story about two senior and junior brothers with mutual crushes who bring a whole bunch of adorable pets to kindle a spark in a steampunk xianxia world.

*

Couple: Pei Muyun [Master of Tianshu Pavilion | aloof beauty, leader, junior brother, bottom] x Xie Chunfeng [Spring Breeze Swordsman | warm-hearted and chivalrous white dragon, senior brother, top]

*Soulmates, two strong leads, sweet romance, one-on-one.

As usual, a disclaimer: My top adores the bottom, and my bottom adores the top. If that's not your thing, please don't read.

*The worldbuilding is something I made up on a whim. Xianxia cultivation + steampunk = steampunk xianxia. It unfolds as the story progresses, and not knowing about it won't affect your reading.

New serial: Morning! Woodenhead

Blurb:

The students shared links and excitedly took a psychopath test, competing to see who would get the highest score.

Li Chen asked Zuo Heng, "Want to try it too?"

Zuo Heng politely declined. "I can understand teenagers' desire to be different. Though it may suggest a shallow sense of vanity, it is indeed a normal and widespread psychological need. But I don't want to take part."

Every teenager in the classroom fell silent.

Only Zuo Heng didn't feel the slightest bit of social awkwardness.

Li Chen covered his face, regretting that he hadn't covered Zuo Heng's mouth in time.

*

In Li Chen's eyes, Zuo Heng is a wooden doll.

Curious about this wooden doll, he keeps getting closer, and then he's done for.

He's fallen for Zuo Heng.

Every touch from Zuo Heng feels scorching hot to Li Chen, as if it could melt the cold inside him and leave him burned.

*

Li Chen calls himself a happy puppy, and his cheerful, extroverted social skills are nothing short of miraculous.

But in Zuo Heng's eyes, Li Chen is like a stray cat.

He comes over on his own, rubbing up against Zuo Heng and acting spoiled, quietly craving the warmth of being with someone. Before Zuo Heng knows it, he can no longer leave Li Chen to fend for himself.

He brings a heartbroken Li Chen home on a rainy day.

He discovers that praise is an effective way to manage Li Chen.

They agree to fall in love in summer.

He teaches Li Chen to remember: red means no, yellow means stop, and green means go.

...Then the cat suddenly abandons his human.

*

This is a sweet HE novella.

Couple: An adorable, irresistible bad kitty who doesn't know how good he is at flirting, bottom (Li Chen) x A wooden doll with an innate talent for rationality and control, top (Zuo Heng)
