The Merman Emperor is a War Prize

[Complete]

[Merfolk emperor, gentle, controlling older gong]

[Peregrine falcon, mechanical-limbed warrior, thorny beauty shou]

In the year 2400 of the interstellar calendar, the old empire fell. Without the protection of those in power, omegas lost their status and were reduced to egg-laying machines valued only for reproduction.

Bai Ling was a disabled omega whose differentiation had failed, but he was also the strongest revolutionary leader, crushing all the alphas who stood against him. To him, every alpha in the world served only one purpose:

“Military supplies to satisfy my needs, nothing more.”

After being reborn at nineteen, Bai Ling realized that the empire could still be saved if he infiltrated the palace and killed the new ruler!

What he didn’t know was that the merfolk emperor he revered was still alive. He was imprisoned deep within the palace, his mental strength exhausted and his eyes blind.

Mistaking the former emperor alpha for an empress omega, Bai Ling embraced the golden-haired merfolk intimately and took pity on him, cutting open the restraint ring around his ankle.

“Go. You’re free.”

Splash! The merfolk knocked him to the ground and devoured his mark.

Bai Ling struggled to his feet on trembling legs, furious. “What happened to the sickly omega I was promised?!”

*

Having lived two lifetimes, Yu Chen had never met an omega so lawless.

At their first meeting, Bai Ling used his abs to warm his hands. A week after they met, he had taken over Yu Chen’s bed. When Bai Ling heard he had ancient merfolk blood, he even shook open a plastic bag with an innocent expression and asked:

“If I make you cry, can you get me some pearls? There’s a weapon I want to buy.”

Yu Chen listened to the little falcon chirping away and smiled. “I want to lock you up and keep you.”

The little lunatic bird looked dashing in a fight, but when his injuries flared up, he was stubborn. Yu Chen would need to find him a beautiful, comfortable birdcage.

Bai Ling scoffed. “You’re just a captive empress. What could you possibly use to keep me?”

Yu Chen tapped the map on the table and replied lightly, “The entire empire.”

The following year, the stars were shaken

“The sinister, ruthless former emperor has returned!”

Bai Ling stared in disbelief. “The former emperor? Are you sure you’ve got the right person?”

Everyone said the merfolk emperor was powerful enough to control the world, and so deranged and vicious that no one should ever go near him.

But Bai Ling knew the merfolk would rather wear a muzzle and pierce his gills with chains than bite through Bai Ling’s neck.

The empire was restored, and the former ruler came striding through a river of blood. Under the terrified gaze of the entire interstellar world, a pale, slender hand placed one end of the chain in Bai Ling’s palm. The merfolk kissed him through the muzzle, satisfied and crazed.

“Now, you will become the new empress.”

Bai Ling yanked hard on the chain, making him stumble, and smiled.

“No, Your Majesty. You can be my empress instead.”

Coming soon: From Nemesis to Husband!

ABO setting

[Controlling, powerful, fatherly gong × injured, rebellious, beautiful space pirate shou]

The empire’s sworn enemy, a ruthless prince, found a badly injured space pirate.

The pirate was imprisoned by his nemesis. He thought he would be brutally tortured as revenge, but the treatment he expected never came.

Instead, the prince kept him carefully hidden and cared for, deceiving everyone who wanted him dead.

Until one day, the prince was framed, and the two of them were held at gunpoint.

The prince smiled and asked, “Have I treated you well all these years?”

The pirate knew that if he said the wrong thing, the guns behind them could kill them both.

So he closed his eyes and said, “I hate you.”

The prince smiled. “Good. If you hate me, it means you’re still free.”

·

They were forcibly separated, and the pirate was taken away. The following year, he heard the prince had died of illness.

The prince’s death was quick and clean, but he didn’t know that hate lasts longer than love.

The words “If you hate me, it means you’re still free” bound the pirate for twenty years.

In the blink of an eye, the pirate was reborn. This time, he ran into the prince again, coming to arrest him.

Battered and bleeding on the ground, he looked up and saw the prince’s silhouette against the light. The man bent down and held out a hand.

Only in this life did the pirate realize how gentle the prince looked in that moment.

The prince said, “Are you coming with me? Think carefully. If you do, you’ll have no freedom from then on.”

The pirate grabbed his hand and used it to pull himself up, then gave him an arrogant, cold smile.

“This time, you’re coming with me.”
