The passerby is an ordinary person with no special abilities, a junior employee at a research institute. His usual routine is to run experiments and serve as part of the cheering squad, clapping and shouting, “That’s awesome!” Shen Jue is quite happy with his new identity, and even finds himself a partner he likes. His partner is often away on business and doesn’t say much, but he has broad shoulders and a slim waist, and can get half a month’s work done in a single day. Shen Jue’s new life is comfortable and fulfilling, and he’s in a good mood every day. After living an utterly ordinary life for seven years, a voice suddenly speaks in his mind: “Would you like to change the fate of a cannon-fodder character and experience an extraordinary life? Would you like to find the meaning of life and save a broken world? The Cannon-Fodder Comeback System is at your service!” “No thanks,” Shen Jue replies without hesitation. The System is depressed. It only came online seven years late by accident, but now finds that its Host just wants to live an ordinary, lazy life, spending every day being lovey-dovey with his partner. The world is about to be destroyed, and you two are still dating? Then one day, the System discovers a secret. The soul of the Host it has bound to seems to belong to the very person who destroys the world at the end of the book. …Help! Host, please just stay an ordinary person! . Many people at the Ability Center know that Zong Lin has a lover he cherishes above all else. Whenever this cold, taciturn, strongest ability user among humanity drives his spear through the heart of a mutant, he uses his mutated, deformed hand to take out the pocket watch his lover gave him and kiss it. It looks like a tender prayer, or perhaps like he’s willingly locking himself in a gentle cage. Rumor has it that Zong Lin’s lover is just an ordinary person who couldn’t hurt a fly, with nothing going for him except a pretty face. One day, Zong Lin’s lover is kidnapped by an SSS-class mutant. Zong Lin goes berserk, and a group of people storm the mutant’s nest, only to find Zong Lin’s lover holding a knife to the mutant’s neck, smiling as he says: “Two choices. One, stick your neck out a little farther. Two, I push the knife in. Which will it be?” PS: All comments are welcome. Thank you for understanding. Coming soon: When the Infinite-World Demon King Returns My name is Lin Qingchi. I’m a retired Infinite-world player who cleared countless death games. My heart has been hardened even more than that of someone who’s spent ten years slaughtering fish at RT-Mart. After I returned to the real world, my fortune-telling grandfather said I had too much blood on my hands. He left me a dollhouse and told me to put down the butcher’s knife and pick up an embroidery needle. So I picked up an embroidery needle. I’m not sure why, but the dolls I make seem to have come to life. When I’m around, they sit in neat rows and behave themselves. The moment I turn my back, they start swaying and wobbling, like they want to fly off into the sky. One day, I accidentally overheard them talking. “Hey, Hydra, you got dragged here too?” “Headless corpse? What’s going on?” “Don’t call me a headless corpse. I have a head now. Lin Qingchi sewed it on for me.” “Holy crap, the Demon King Lin Qingchi? Didn’t he clear the game and leave? Also, why am I missing a head?” “You can go ask Lin Qingchi about it.” “No way! What if he cuts me into eighteen pieces?” “Then just play your part as a doll and stop looking for trouble. Don’t drag the rest of us into it. Remember not to move when Lin Qingchi comes by later.” “Wouldn’t dream of it.” · Lately, more and more customers have been coming to the dollhouse. They say strange phenomena are appearing all over the world and natural disasters are happening one after another, and that buying one of my dolls will ward off evil. . One day, the doll I’d stored in the deepest part of the warehouse began to move too. It had blood-red eyes and a perfect face, and every inch of its bones and skin had been crafted to my liking. As for its purpose, adults know what I mean. A moving doll is certainly a good thing. But it seemed the thing inhabiting this doll was someone I knew. “Know” as in we’d tried to kill each other. “Lin Qingchi, you’ve stolen all my subordinates.” The handsome doll’s eyes glowed crimson, its expression dangerous. “You have to take responsibility for me.” Theme: Believe in the power of love.
