I Think I Really Am the Future Boss

[Pre-release: After Dressing as a Woman and Provoking the Dragon-Proud Hero, details at the end] I got myself a younger boyfriend. He's fierce and wild, and he never admits he likes me, but he's a great cook, and he blushes when he kisses me. He's just so adorable. It's just that his chuunibyou is a little severe. He keeps saying he knows the memories of the future, and that I'll eventually become the Big Boss who destroys humanity. One day, he says, he'll have to kill me. Me: “Mm-hmm, okay, babe.” Then one morning, I opened my eyes to find him dressed head to toe in black combat gear. His polished boots were planted by my pillow, and the pitch-black barrel of a gun was aimed at me. Murder flashed in his eyes. “S-rank calamity, ‘Calamity Words,’ you've finally awakened.” My sleepiness vanished. I tapped his shoe with mock indignation. “How can you wear shoes on the bed!” Jiang Ce's hand, gripping the gun, paused. He knocked my hand away. I stared blankly for a moment, finally realizing what was about to happen. I slowly pulled the blanket up to cover half my face and said, a little bashfully, “I-Is it really going to get this exciting first thing in the morning...?” Jiang Ce: “...” Later, I learned two things: One: My little boyfriend, Jiang Ce, future captain of Team One in the Special Events Department, really had awakened memories of the future. Two: On the day the otherworldly species invaded, I regained my memories. I really was the infamous S-rank calamity, “Calamity Words.” Now there are two problems: One: Jiang Ce thinks I've taken over Huo Yan's body. But it has been me all along. Sometimes I'm just not very good at pretending to be human. Two: Destroying Blue Star isn't all that interesting. My boyfriend is much more appealing. How can I convince him that “Calamity Words” is already dead? Being human is so hard. [Jiang Ce gong x Huo Yan shou] Make sure you get who's gong and who's shou! Stop switching my CP around QvQ Please respect each other's preferences, or I'll start clinging to your leg and crying (not really). Content warnings: 1. The main text is in third person. The shou is direct and lovestruck. He can seem a little dumb at times because this is his first time pretending to be human, so please be nice to my silly boy. 2. The gong wavers between duty and feelings early on. I just want to write that feeling of being weighed down by responsibility but still falling for someone. Here's the warning, take it or leave it. 3. The cover uses a template and isn't exclusive. 4. This is a silly comedy, not tagged as a power fantasy. Even if the sky falls, nothing can stop me from telling jokes (hands on hips.jpg). Pre-release: After Dressing as a Woman and Provoking the Dragon-Proud Hero: Yu Qingtang transmigrates into a book as an extra from a minor sect, with so little screen time that his name appears fewer than three times in the whole book. He might as well be in a world without a book. He originally thought he'd have nothing to do with the plot and could simply enjoy a life of cultivation. But when he was twelve, his sect couldn't scrape together four female cultivators to enter the Immortal Sects' Women's Skills (Mahjong) Tournament. His senior sister dressed him in women's clothes and dragged him to the Ten Thousand Immortals Pavilion to make up the numbers. In the back hills of the Ten Thousand Immortals Pavilion, he met the Dragon-Proud Hero when he was still a boy. The Dragon-Proud Hero said he had fallen in love with “her” at first sight. Yu Qingtang: “...” He smiled without warmth. “Haha, I'm still young. If you've got the nerve, come ask for my hand when we're older.” The Dragon-Proud Hero broke off a peach blossom branch and gave it to him. His eyes sparkled, and he was bright and dazzling, a carefree and innocent young man. Only his ears were red. “It's a promise!” Yu Qingtang nearly went blind from that harmless-looking face. Then he remembered how, in the book, this guy had romances by the dozen, childhood sweethearts everywhere, and red and white roses fighting each other to the death. His heart turned to still water; he renounced love and replied with a fake smile, “Absolutely.” Seven years later, the Dragon-Proud Hero, now a hell-raising troublemaker, showed up at his door. Cheap Master: “Qingtang! He went to the Seven Swords Sect and beat them until they had only two swords left! Your old master can't take on a young hero like that at my age!” Senior Sister: “Little junior brother, don't panic. I have a treasure that can solve this problem!” She pulled out the latest fashionable fairy outfit from the Beauty Pavilion. Yu Qingtang: “...Get lost!” To save his struggling sect, Yu Qingtang decided to debut as a fairy idol... just kidding. He swallowed his humiliation, put on the women's clothes, and decided to turn down the Dragon-Proud Hero as his senior sister had instructed. He had barely left the sect when he saw the young man leaning on his spear, one foot planted on the head of the ferocious beast that had harassed the sect for months and nearly made his master activate the mountain-protection formation. The young man's eyes shone like stars. He hurriedly wiped the blood from his hands and called out to him, “Fairy!” “The Qingzhou Golden Core Tournament is gathering heroes from across the land. I-I wanted to invite you to come with me, Fairy. I don't know if you'd, uh...” He seemed unused to speaking so elegantly. He stumbled over his words several times, then looked up at him with a bright red face, innocent and pure. Yu Qingtang nervously stared at the ferocious beast's corpse, pixelated beneath his feet, and wondered if that was what his own corpse would look like once he said no. “...” Senior Sister, your lines for warding off admirers are really cool, but I seriously don't have the guts to use them QAQ The wind howls, the Yi River runs cold.
