The Crown Prince Just Wants to Be a Raccoon Cat

After transmigrating, Xia Jing discovers that he's become the legitimate son of the empress.

Before he can even celebrate, he's switched at birth and becomes the son of a palace servant, going from the highest station to the lowest.

As the prince switched at birth, he should reclaim his identity.

But Xia Jing soon learns that the empress is the emperor's third wife. The first two empresses each had a son, and the emperor's true love, the Noble Consort, has children too. He's nowhere near the front of the line for the crown prince's position.

This legitimate son of the empress is a thorn in everyone's side from the moment he's born.

Xia Jing: There's no way I'm fighting for the throne. Whoever wants to be crown prince can have it. I'll just stay the switched-at-birth cat.

Every one of his royal brothers is outstanding. Whoever wins will let him live out his dream of becoming an idle prince.

Born lowly, of average ability, and with no chance of taking the throne, the Seventh Prince only knows how to laze around and cozy up to powerful people. Before long, he becomes the most popular of all the princes, as well as the emperor's least favorite...

Until one day, his two legitimate elder brothers fight to a mutual death, and Xia Jing's true identity is revealed along with it...

The position of crown prince falls from the sky, completely without warning.

Xia Jing: ...I'm really the switched-at-birth cat! Father, you have to believe me!
