The god Tsuruta Saku has the power to resurrect the dead. After his influence on Hell's KPIs earns him a transfer to the human world from his irate superior, he finds himself standing on the street with a cat and just one asset to his name: a deserted island meant to help him boost his numbers.
His assignment from Hell: collect human emotions.
The cat supervisor: An aquarium, amusement park, resort, zoo... Making people happy can't be that hard, right? Then emotions will be easy to collect!
At that, Tsuruta Saku hastily writes up a business plan:
Zoo: ghost stories
Aquarium: a missing mermaid
Resort: a mysterious town
Amusement park: a night of screams
The cat: ...Isn't something a little off here?
Tsuruta Saku shakes his head. You don't get it. Make money from happiness during the day and fear at night. What's not to love?
.
The resort island nearly suffers a series of explosions on opening day. Tsuruta Saku is so broke he can't even afford to hire staff, so he urgently buys insurance and heads out to find a few unlucky unemployed people.
...Wait, you there, soul! Hold on!
Wandering the streets, are you? Do you have official papers from Hell? If not, don't blame me for being rough. If you don't want to be dragged to Hell and fried in an oil cauldron, then get to work!
The undercover public security officer, shot through the heart and killed: ...A con artist?
The retired sorcerer: Work is **.
Tsuruta Saku offers resurrection as an employee benefit, successfully recruiting all kinds of staff. He also receives huge investments from a mysterious white-haired man in sunglasses, a mysterious □□, and a mysterious organization.
The staff, all in ghostly forms, look at their cheerful boss with complicated expressions, but swallow their advice.
Employees No. 1, 2, and 3: Does he really know who invested in him?!
.
What does it take to resurrect the dead?
A memory, a heart, a soul not yet swallowed by the waters of the River of Three Crossings, the blood and tears of one's closest family, and... an overwhelming desire to return to the human world.
Tsuruta Saku taps the blackboard with his pointer. "Got it? Work for half a year and you'll receive a healthy heart selected by yours truly, a god. Work for a year and you'll get an SSR memory fragment. And every year, I'll personally descend into the River of Three Crossings and fish out a remnant soul for the best employee!"

The world's only resort island where there have never been any murders, explosions, shootings, attacks by cursed spirits, or gunfire, and where visitor safety is absolutely guaranteed, is finally open!
Countless media outlets rush over, eager to interview the mysterious owner about the secrets of his success. Even the Metropolitan Police Department asks him to explain to other business owners how to ensure safety.
Looking at all the invitations, Tsuruta Saku props his chin on his hand and ponders. He has his ghostly employees on the island around the clock, keeping an eye on suspects.
What secret? It's all thanks to exploiting the staff.
