A Distillery Boss Shouldn't Play Favorites

Vermouth once earnestly advised the Boss, hinting at the matter: "You shouldn't indulge Gin so openly. Excessive favoritism doesn't always earn you loyalty. Sometimes it makes people develop feelings they shouldn't have." Judging by what happened afterward, the Boss clearly didn't listen. In other words, he was even happy to see it happen. Couple dynamic: cold, loyal hound x hypocritical control freak . [Haven't figured out the blurb yet, so I'm putting up this bit about how the central relationship in this story works (?). I'll add more once I come up with something.] [In short, the Boss is reborn and madly dotes on his beloved subordinate (not quite...), but Gin is the top.] [!Content warning!: The Boss is the bottom, but usually takes the dominant role in their interactions and is a genuine control freak. Dog training (meant in a purely positive sense, no derogatory meaning whatsoever (covering all bases)) is a common theme. This is a short story under 100,000 words that won't be locked, so the whole thing is based on my personal preferences. Please mind the warnings.] [Possible alternate titles (dazed) (crouches down with hands over head): The Boss's Spoiled Gin; Don't Run, Gin: The Dark Boss's Devoted Love; The Boss's Favorite: The National Killer Is a Loyal Hound] Theme: None for now
