Deceiving the Emperor

Bottom's perspective:

Shao Wangshu, young master of the Huai State, lost both his parents as a child and was taken in and raised by the young emperor. As he grew older, his thoughts went crooked, and he fell for the emperor.

The emperor, considering himself his elder, refused to accept his feelings.

After his confession failed, the dejected Shao Wangshu drank with the emperor. When he woke up, he found himself lying in the emperor's arms.

He had no idea what happened, but he knew he harbored improper feelings, while the emperor was noble and upright. So he must have been the one who crossed the line first! There was no way the emperor made the first move!

That was for sure!

After committing the grave offense of sleeping with the emperor, Shao Wangshu fled in the middle of the night, only to be sent back to the palace tied up like a dumpling.

He thought he'd be in for a beating, but when he opened his eyes, he found the emperor looking bewildered and at a loss.

The emperor had just lost his memory. He looked at Shao Wangshu hesitantly and asked the eunuch, "You say he's the person I trust most. Is that true?"

Shao Wangshu: Oh?

The eunuch replied, "Your Majesty, Young Master Shao is the boy you picked up and raised with your own hands..."

Shao Wangshu leapt up, pushed the eunuch aside to stop him from finishing that last word, took the emperor's hand, and declared with an earnest look, "That's right. I'm not only the person Your Majesty trusts most, I'm also your beloved, and the future empress you are about to appoint!"

"You love me so much!"

Qin Jiaqian: "...Huh?"

After successfully passing himself off as the empress, Shao Wangshu became utterly shameless, fabricating countless "stories from the past," such as "Your harem is empty because of me" and "You ache with longing whenever you go a day without seeing me."

Free to do whatever he pleased and spread whatever lies he wanted, Shao Wangshu was having the time of his life.

Qin Jiaqian tried to speak up several times, but stopped himself.

Top's perspective:

The young emperor Qin Jiaqian impulsively picked up a seemingly well-behaved, clever child.

Qin Jiaqian rubbed his hands together, satisfied. Raising a child as emperor only takes one click to put everything on autopilot, and you'll end up with a promising young man. So easy! I love it!

Only after bringing the boy home did he realize the child was clingy by nature and couldn't bear to be away from him for a moment. He had nightmares and wanted Qin Jiaqian, got scolded by the Grand Tutor and needed comfort, and when he was sick, he became even more demanding.
