Good Luck Wedding

[Pairing: gentle, stunning bottom x iron-blooded, ruthless war god top]

Ye Yunting, the unloved legitimate son of the Duke's estate, was betrothed by imperial decree to Li Fengqi, Prince of Yong'an.

The Prince of Yong'an guarded the northern frontier and had slain countless enemies. He was, without question, the war god of Beizhao.

But by the time Ye Yunting married him, the war god had been struck by a deadly poison. His meridians were shattered, and all he could do was lie in bed, clinging to life.

Ye Yunting married him with a heart full of despair. Afraid of the war god's fearsome reputation, he stayed cooped up in his own courtyard and simply muddled through. Before long, he accidentally drank the poisoned soup meant for the Prince of Yong'an and died.

Before he breathed his last, the Prince of Yong'an, who was said to be close to death himself, knelt beside his bed and clasped his hand, promising solemnly, “You lost your life because of me. From this day on, I will do everything in my power to protect your family. You can go in peace.”

Later, he ascended the throne and kept his promise, protecting Ye Yunting's only remaining family member.

Reborn into a new life, Ye Yunting still couldn't escape the fate of marrying the Prince of Yong'an to bring him good luck. But this time, he decided to take good care of the dying man and repay the kindness he had shown him in his previous life.

He never expected the man, once cured of the poison, to eagerly pull him close and insist on repaying him with his own body.

The man held him tight in his arms. “Stay by my side without fear. From now on, I'll protect you.”

★A Few Things to Know★

1. A sweet 1v1 romance. In both lives, the top and bottom have eyes only for each other.

2. It still starts with a familiar old trope. If that's not your thing, don't read it. The author loves this sort of story, so if you don't, please quit while you're ahead. No need for either of us to suffer.

3. The historical setting is a mishmash, and there are plenty of made-up details. Please don't nitpick the history.

4. A complete sweet romance. You can find these other works in my profile: The Tyrant's Beloved Empress, You Are Not Allowed to Snarl at Me, and Our Monsters Are Not Allowed to Be Single.

When his identity was exposed, Sang Ruo was surrounded by the righteous sects and killed.

When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in the bed of his greatest enemy, Shang Huaixue, the leader of the immortal sects.

The sect leader's robes hung half-open. His eyes were tender, and his usually cold, self-possessed face was flushed with desire. He was showing all the signs of having been afflicted with the Love Thread Gu.

The Love Thread Gu was a potent aphrodisiac. Those who took it became infatuated with the person who administered it, obeying their every word. Even a thousand feet of ice could melt into a pool of spring water.

It lasted three months.

Sang Ruo: ???

What a lucky break!

So he treated the man like a cultivation partner and used him again and again.

As the three-month limit drew near, Sang Ruo packed his bags and ran.

To avoid Shang Huaixue's revenge, he couldn't go to the righteous immortal sects, so he decided to seek refuge in the demon realm instead.

Since the previous Demon Lord's death, the demon realm had splintered into factions. The new Demon Lord subdued them all with an iron fist and united the realm, yet no one had ever seen his true face.

On his nth day in the demon realm, Sang Ruo was fortunate enough to be summoned by the Demon Lord.

He rubbed his hands together, ready to make a name for himself.

But when he reached the Demon Lord's bedchamber, someone suddenly grabbed him by the nape. Shang Huaixue chuckled beside his ear. “Was I to your satisfaction as a cultivation aid?”

Sang Ruo: ?????

Damn it! The leader of the immortal sects and the supreme ruler of the demonic path are the same person? Who the hell would believe that?

I have the worst luck.

Shang Huaixue searched high and low for one person for over two hundred years.

He never expected that person to deliver himself right to his door.

This time, he would devour him whole, bind him into his very bones and blood, and never let him go again.

[A flirt who runs as soon as he's done x a righteous gentleman driven to madness. The bottom is no respectable person; the top starts out exceedingly proper.]

Theme: Even in adversity, never forget to hold fast to your principles.
