Genshin Impact's Fourth Calamity: Will RPG Players Become the Biggest Winners?

With old anime series and new games getting popular again one after another, fans have been turning out all kinds of fan games, merchandise, fan-made videos, and other derivative works. People still in the fandom are having a blast.

Then a gaming legend released a pixel RPG whose gameplay was almost on par with a AAA title. Before that, Xia Jun had gotten a chance to play the beta for free thanks to being friends with the developer. He'd been a real menace, but since his friend was so serious about pursuing randomness and freedom, the developer let him get on with it.

Before You Read:

1. A true fourth-disaster-style player is a polite troublemaker who will go to any lengths to get what they want. There will be crossovers with other anime and games, such as Arknights. The game won't come to our world, and Xia Jun won't travel into it either. I might write bonus chapters if people want to see them later.

2. There will be romances in the background, but they won't be explored in detail. The characters involved include both men and women, and gods as well. Some pairings will be real and others fake, with Japanese-style bonds as the main focus.

3. The story has a mountain of original worldbuilding, and plenty of intentional inconsistencies and bugs.

Theme: The point of playing games is to enjoy yourself.
