The Beautiful Dodder Vine

[Don't take the blurb literally! The shou is human! He has a mental illness and is crazier than An An.]

This might count as a redemption story / blurb to be revised / I really can't think of anything better, orz

Here's the thing: I'm a dodder vine. That's not a metaphor. I'm really a dodder vine, and the prettiest one there is.

I was growing just fine in the soil, but then a human came looking for me. He insisted he was my mate. I tried explaining for ages, but he kept saying that no one but him could be my mate.

Although he raised me for a long time and watered me every day, there's no way I'm reproducing with an inferior creature like a human.

After all, he actually managed to kill me once. I won't forgive him for that.

"By the way, who are you?"

"...Your mate."

Xie Jue ignored the blood running down his forehead and held his precious one close, the one he had sworn to cherish, closing his eyes in pain.

"I'm sorry."
