Kiss Me Again

Please check out my upcoming novel, Echoes. The blurb is at the very bottom~

Everyone knows Fu Ci is as straight as they come. In front of his childhood friend Qi Yan, he doesn't even hide his disgust for gay people.

"How can a man date another man? It goes against scientific ethics."

"Doesn't it feel awkward when they kiss?"

"They're sick."

But Qi Yan still fell in love with Fu Ci.

One day, after they had been drinking, he looked at Fu Ci, passed out drunk on the sofa, and couldn't resist leaning down to kiss him.

Just this once, let me give in to temptation,

Qi Yan thought.

The instant their lips touched,

Fu Ci slowly opened his eyes, full of shock and disbelief.

Qi Yan felt as if a bucket of ice water had been poured over him. He fled in a panic.

He thought his friendship with Fu Ci was over, but Fu Ci acted as if nothing had happened. In fact, he became even more considerate, doing almost everything a boyfriend could do.

"The milk tea's a little hot. Take your time drinking it."

"It's getting colder today. Put on my jacket before you go out."

"I heard the water will be shut off at school this weekend. Want to stay at a hotel together for a couple of days?"

Qi Yan looked at the smiling person suggesting they share a hotel room and couldn't understand him at all.

He was sure Fu Ci remembered what happened that night, but his attitude seemed to encourage Qi Yan to get as close and intimate as he wanted...

Qi Yan couldn't help wondering, was this really a straight guy?

He watched Fu Ci packing their clothes, then suddenly said, "The basketball club captain asked me to dinner yesterday, so I won't be going with you this weekend."

Fu Ci knew that this person had confessed to Qi Yan before.

As soon as Qi Yan finished speaking, Fu Ci's smile froze.

*

That weekend, Fu Ci blocked him in their dorm room. The man who usually wore a carefree smile had a stormy look on his face as he gritted his teeth. "You're not going."

His voice was full of possessiveness.

Qi Yan was held tightly around the waist.

He lowered his eyes to hide his feelings and said calmly, "Fu Ci, I'm the gay guy you hate most."

"Who said I hate you?" Fu Ci retorted.

Qi Yan raised a brow. "I kissed you last time. Didn't it feel awkward?"

Fu Ci's gaze instinctively fell on Qi Yan's lips. Remembering something, he looked away, uncomfortable. "It happened too fast last time. I didn't feel anything..."

He hesitated. "How about you kiss me again?"

--- Upcoming novel: Echoes ---

[A sickly beauty and a vicious dog]

A sickly "mute" moves into the Jiang family home. He's frail, yet has a delicate, handsome face.

Jiang Wang hates people like that, all soft and weak.

But the next day, they become deskmates. Jiang Wang grows even more annoyed and says coldly, "Stay away from me from now on. Don't talk to me."

Su Yu nods to show he understands.

Jiang Wang has always been domineering and arrogant. He smokes, gets into fights, and does just about everything else. People instinctively hold their breath and keep quiet when they pass him. He's rotten to the core.

Someone once saw Su Yu, because Jiang Wang found his coughing annoying, chug a huge glass of water and hold it in until his ears turned red. He didn't cough again for the rest of class.

Everyone feels sorry for Su Yu. He's quiet, and he's being bullied like this.

So when Jiang Wang isn't around, his classmates secretly help Su Yu.

Until one day, a boy slips a love letter into Su Yu's schoolbag.

The next class, Jiang Wang tears the letter to pieces and throws it in the trash.

That evening, both Jiang Wang and Su Yu are absent from study hall.

In an abandoned classroom, Su Yu sits on a desk, silently watching the restless person across from him.

"Su Yu, you haven't spoken to me all day!" Jiang Wang snaps. "You really like him?"

Su Yu looks at the half-closed door and says nothing.

His reaction makes Jiang Wang even more restless. He grips Su Yu's chin and turns his face toward him, forcing him to meet his eyes.

Su Yu is uncomfortable with his grip and kicks Jiang Wang. "Let go."

His voice is hoarse, but it can't hide how beautiful it sounds.

Jiang Wang looks at the dusty shoe print on his chest. His eyes grow even darker, but he still steps back with a grim expression.

They keep their distance, but Jiang Wang stares fixedly at Su Yu, like a vicious dog on a leash, ready to pounce at any moment.

A few minutes later, once Su Yu's expression softens, Jiang Wang finally dares to approach and pull him into his arms, tightening his hold little by little.

Though he holds him like a prisoner, it's as if he's placing the leash around his own neck in Su Yu's hands.

"Say one more thing to me, and I'll be all better."

Su Yu pushes him.

Jiang Wang's arms go rigid around him.

The next second, Su Yu speaks.

"Lock the door, then hug me."
