He Says I'm Soft and Sweet

Looking for pre-release interest in I’ve Liked You for a Long Time. Blurb at the very end~ Qi Ling has a crush on Xu Zhou, but Xu Zhou suddenly gets a girlfriend and announces that he’s taking her home to meet his family. He even insists Qi Ling come along as a witness. But there’s only one person in the Xu family: Xu Zhou’s half-brother, Xu Chen, who has just returned from abroad to take over the family business. Looking at this older brother, whose face is almost identical to Xu Zhou’s, yet even more striking, Qi Ling gets an idea. He asks, “Want to hook up?” * Xu Zhou thinks getting a girlfriend will leave Qi Ling moping for a while. Instead, Qi Ling looks healthier by the day and disappears without a trace. When Xu Zhou finally manages to get him out once, Qi Ling can’t even be bothered to say a word to him, looking utterly exhausted. After all, Qi Ling has long since given up on him. Having to humor him is a real nuisance, especially since Xu Zhou has interrupted Qi Ling and Xu Chen in the middle of things several times. Xu Zhou is completely oblivious. “My birthday party’s in a few days. You’ll come, right? I have something to tell you.” Qi Ling raises his eyes. “Is it at your brother’s villa again?” Xu Zhou nods, and Qi Ling agrees without hesitation. But when night falls, Qi Ling is nowhere to be found. Xu Zhou finds him on the second-floor balcony. In the dim light, Qi Ling sits on Xu Chen’s lap. The usual cool detachment is gone from his face. His pale hands cling tightly to Xu Chen’s neck, the corners of his eyes red, as the two kiss with abandon. They notice Xu Zhou, too, but neither of them stops. Instead, Xu Chen kisses Qi Ling even more fiercely, drawing a few muffled moans from him, each one tender and alluring. Xu Zhou watches, furious enough to burst. He has always known Qi Ling likes him. He even planned to accept him at his birthday party this time, but he never expected... Unable to take Xu Chen’s increasingly forceful kisses, Qi Ling pushes him away and presses a hand to his lips to stop him from coming closer. Xu Chen has bitten him several times, and it hurts a little, but Qi Ling can do nothing about how forceful he is. “Be good. Just a moment.” After soothing him, Qi Ling turns to Xu Zhou, who is trembling with anger behind them. His patience is gone. “Little brother, had enough? You’re in the way.” Pre-release blurb for I’ve Liked You for a Long Time [Pretty, carefree bottom * devoted, scheming, powerful top. Sweet romance.] Everyone knows Ye Ting Tong is the ever-present little tagalong of Shen Ming Huai, the young master of the Shen family. But apart from his pretty face, he’s good for nothing. Shen Ming Huai is fed up with him. Yet no matter how much he turns Ye Ting Tong down, Ye Ting Tong always wears a bright smile, clearly in love with him to the core. At a party in the Wei family’s villa, Shen Ming Huai is playing the bite-the-napkin game with the girl beside him. Ye Ting Tong, who “loves” Shen Ming Huai, sits nearby with his head bowed, reaching dejectedly for the snacks in front of him. He doesn’t care whether Shen Ming Huai likes him. As long as their connection keeps the Ye family from using him as a pawn in an arranged marriage to some old man, that’s good enough. Just as the party reaches its peak, an icy voice suddenly comes from the stairs on the second floor. “You’re making a lot of noise.” Shen Ming Huai is so startled that the paper ball falls from his mouth. “Uncle?!” Shen Ming Huai’s uncle, and the current head of the Shen family, is Shen Jin. Dressed in a suit and standing tall at the top of the stairs, he radiates such authority that no one below dares meet his eyes. Ye Ting Tong puts down his snack. Who’s that? He’s impressive. An idea comes to him without thinking. Before he can even look up, he feels a scrutinizing gaze settle on him. Every hair on Ye Ting Tong’s body stands on end. This is someone he can’t afford to offend. Later, when he sees Shen Jin again at the Shen family home, he’s carrying honey water to Shen Ming Huai, who has a hangover. The two of them run into each other in the hallway. Shen Jin says, “Someone’s in his room.” Ye Ting Tong catches his meaning right away and is about to leave, but then he notices Shen Jin looking at the honey water in his hand. He tentatively offers it. “Uncle, want some?” Shen Jin takes the drink and leaves him with one sentence: “Call me Shen Jin.” Later, after searching everywhere for Ye Ting Tong without success, Shen Ming Huai knocks on the study door. “Uncle, is Ting Tong with you?” Ye Ting Tong is pinned against the door. His hazy consciousness briefly clears. “Shen Jin...” Before he can finish, Shen Jin gives him a gentle kiss. Then he hears Shen Jin’s low, hoarse voice. “He’s not here.” It takes Ye Ting Tong a long time to realize that the mysterious person who sends him gifts and postcards every holiday isn’t Shen Ming Huai. It’s Shen Jin. Theme: Know when to cut your losses and choose the right path.
