"What a coincidence. I'm not human either."
★ Nine-tailed fox top × vampire bottom, mutual pining, both willing to cross the distance.

Luo Chuanqing first met Wen Xinhe because Wen had arrested him on suspicion of fraud.
As a mighty nine-tailed fox spirit, Luo was quite gifted at divination. He never expected to leave the mountains to find a job and get arrested from the start.
Humans are such a pain, he thought. Especially this annoying little cop. He's practically my nemesis.
Yet as they sparred and bickered, they gradually grew more familiar with each other.
Wen Xinhe would check Luo's documents with a cold expression and say, "If you don't renew these before they expire next month, I'll confiscate them."
He would also bring him warm buns on a winter journey. "...Don't skip breakfast, or you might get low blood sugar."
Behind that strictly businesslike manner was a tender, careful concern for Luo. When those beautiful eyes looked at him, there seemed to be an emotion flowing beneath the surface.
Luo Chuanqing suddenly decided that humans weren't so bad after all, especially this little cop.
Nine-tailed foxes lived a very long time, while humans had at most a mere hundred years.
Suddenly, Luo Chuanqing felt a tightness in his chest.
...In that case, he would protect this human and stay by his side for the entirety of his short life.
So when the demons reappeared in the human world, he manifested his fox tails and rushed straight to where Wen was.

Wen Xinhe first met Luo Chuanqing when the latter was manning a strange-looking stall, solemnly telling him, "My friend, I can see that you're due for a bloody misfortune. Would you like to buy a bracelet? It'll ward off misfortune and ensure you live to a hundred."
A police officer and a vampire, Wen Xinhe stopped at once, arrested the man with a cold expression, and took him to the station on suspicion of fraud.
Humans are such a pain, he thought. Especially this eccentric weirdo. He's practically my nemesis.
Yet as they traded barbs, laughed, and argued, they gradually grew more familiar with each other.
Luo Chuanqing would set up his stall by the side of the road with a lazy grin and say, "Oh, there's a lot of foot traffic here, and there's no sign saying I can't. I'm allowed to set up shop, right?"
He would also hold an umbrella over Wen on rainy days. "You can't work if you catch a cold from the rain, Officer."
Behind his lazy, casual manner was a unique, thoughtful kind of help. His teasing smile seemed to hide other, unspoken feelings.
Wen Xinhe suddenly decided that humans weren't so bad after all, especially this man who called himself a fortune-teller.
Vampires lived a very long time, while humans had at most a mere hundred years.
Suddenly, Wen Xinhe felt a sting in his nose.
...In that case, he would stay by that human's side for the entirety of his short life.
So when the demons reappeared in the human world, he spread his bat wings and rushed straight to where Luo was.

Then they ran into each other on the way.
Luo Chuanqing, with nine snow-white tails swaying behind him: ?
Wen Xinhe, with bat wings spread wide, red eyes, and little fangs: ?
Well, I'll be! You're not human either!

"Drunk, I knew not that the sky was in the water; a boatful of dreams lay heavy upon the Milky Way."
A love story about two people who each think the other is an ordinary human, when neither of them is human, hahaha.
○ A dashing, handsome, and incredibly powerful nine-tailed fox spirit who usually prefers to laze around and take it easy. He sets up a reclining chair next to his casual fortune-telling stall, and his life's goal is to bask in the sun and eat meat every day, hahaha.
○ A beautiful vampire with a cool, serious exterior, but a bit of a natural airhead. A diligent little police officer. Beneath his detached, stern work persona is a surprisingly cute side, and he's excellent at making all kinds of meatballs.
