How Did an Ordinary Person Like Me Become a Hidden Character?

The stylish, fantastical, adorable, high-freedom full-dive simulation game Kiss of the Abyss is now online! The game features an overwhelming variety of characters with beast ears and tails, demon horns, and other nonhuman traits. Yet among them is He Yu, a humanoid character with no other obvious features. Game forum: [Is this some kind of official bug? No matter how I look at him, I can't see any nonhuman traits.] [He can't possibly be an ordinary person, right? The game is set at a demon university, after all! And this NPC has quite a bit of story content. His name is also a rare Chinese-style name, so I'm guessing there's a hidden plotline. (Pondering)] [At first, I tried to raise his affection, but the characters I'd already befriended started liking me less. I thought they were jealous, so I deliberately tried to lower He Yu's affection. In the end, the characters I'd befriended cut ties with me. Me: Huh???] [This is hilarious. You can tell lots of characters have some sort of connection to him. He must have a complicated identity... Could he be the hidden character the developers mentioned, [Lord of the Dark Abyss]?] [!!! For real?! Aaaah, I'm going to start unlocking He Yu's route right now! Wait for my guide, everyone!] [...To the person above, that's really hard. Who gets it? I unlocked the death route...] [?? This game has a death route?! Isn't this supposed to be a stylish, fantastical, adorable game about life in another world??] [Anyway, He Yu definitely isn't an ordinary NPC!!!] He Yu is an ordinary human currently attending a demon university for certain reasons. One day, he actually hears a voice from outside the scene. "Kiss of the Abyss is now in open beta! The adorable, stylish, fantastical, high-freedom, full-dive simulation game awaits you at Decreus Demon University!" He Yu: ? From that day on, many new demons arrived at the school. They had all kinds of styles and behaved in all sorts of ways. At first, He Yu was just an ordinary passerby. Then one day, new demons started suddenly fawning over him, waiting for him every day to give him gifts and mysteriously reciting lines to him. Some of their behavior even made him uncomfortable. Then, one day, those new demons with the uncomfortable behavior mysteriously disappeared. He Yu, happy to have gone several days without being harassed, casually asked his roommate, "What happened to those new dog demons?" His roommate Icasiel was watering the flowers. At the question, he lowered his silver eyes and answered without looking up, "I don't know. Maybe some monster ate them." Of course, he was the one who ate them. Annoying. Why did every creep want to cling to He Yu? . . ‖Leave a comment or a flower if you like, and feel free to go. Thank you for crossing paths with me. I hope you're happy.‖ Theme: Everyone has a story of their own.
