I’m Really Not Counterfeit Liquor

Haneda Ren had never been very lucky. Even for his final mission, the role he drew was nothing more than a disposable extra. As a genuine member of the Black Organization, all he had to do was show his face in front of his superior, then get killed without anyone noticing. The mission sounded simple enough, so Haneda accepted it with confidence. But... Thanks to his terrible luck, every time he tried to get himself killed and fulfill his fate, some unexpected incident got in the way. He volunteered for a mission that was obviously a trap, only for the bomb to be swapped halfway through. He was forced to survive alongside the targets. The boss sent him to assassinate an important figure. He was all set to be silenced, but his gun misfired along the way and accidentally wounded an unfortunate fellow assassin nearby. The other assassin had also been preparing to kill the important figure, but Haneda himself was completely unharmed. When he learned that there was a mole in the organization, he eagerly went looking for them, hoping to be killed by the mole. But he went off track during the investigation and accidentally let the real mole get away... Haneda Ren, who got called useless but still survived: "..." Haneda, assigned to play a disposable extra, is once again fretting over how to get himself killed without anyone noticing. Until, finally... FBI: We know you were forced into this, Haneda. You should have been a good person! Japanese Public Security: We can apply for the Special Witness Program for you. Please join us, Haneda. Haneda Ren, who is actually a genuine member of the organization: ??? P.S.: 1. The male lead is a genuine member of the organization, but he's also a magnet for everyone, so there may be some OOC characterization. 2. Thanks to my bestie for the blurb. Love you! 3. The pairing hasn't been decided, but it will be 1v1. Probably no romance in the main story, see the extras. 4. Cover art by Patikal. Used with permission. It's normal for covers to look alike. 5. The male lead isn't purely evil. He's just a genuine member of the organization! 6. For plot reasons, a certain FBI agent has never had a girlfriend! Theme: Believe that kindness and beauty are all around us
