When Shi Yiqing was seven, his father left. He was sent to live with his grandfather in the countryside, like a stray puppy nobody cared for, someone anyone could kick.

Shen Mu found him. "Come with me. I'll raise you, pay for your education, and cook you good food."

Shen Mu was 23 and had Shi Yiqing call him Uncle Shen.

The car factory, Xiguan Street, Chengguan No. 2 Primary School, a bicycle, a blue sweater.

Shi Yiqing loved everything about this place.

Uncle Shen was gentle and handsome, and pretty older girls were always coming to see him. When Shi Yiqing made a mess or caused trouble, he never got angry. He would just ruffle his hair and laugh at what a handful he was.

Later, Uncle Shen started doing business and became very busy. He promised Shi Yiqing that if he got good exam results, he'd take him on a trip.

On the day the results came out, Shi Yiqing waited at home for a long time with his excellent scores, though he hadn't seen Uncle Shen in ages.

At midnight, he heard a car pull up outside. Shi Yiqing saw Uncle Shen, drunk, kiss the man who had driven him home.

Shi Yiqing watched from the windowsill, his eyes gleaming with the cunning of a fox on the hunt. Uncle Shen liked men. That was great.

Uncle Shen was so wonderful. He had to find a way to make him his.

"I'm a man too. Love me, Uncle Shen."

"I'm gentle and obedient. Even the occasional hint of wickedness is only to win Uncle Shen's affection."

[Forum post] My straight roommate is really weird, ahhh

1L: Okay, everyone, here's what happened. I accidentally came out at the start of college.
