My Landlord Hibernates Every Day

The "Association for Harmony Between Humans and Animals" explicitly states that animals capable of transforming into human form on their own, with no record of crimes involving attacks on humans, can apply for visas and live alongside people.

Xiang Qing is a chinchilla who completed university on a student visa. After graduating, she found a good job. Once she switched to a regular visa, she decided to rent a place.

On her first visit to see an apartment, Xiang Qing rang the doorbell for ages, but no one answered. She called the landlord, and the person who came to open the door was the landlord's aunt, a beautiful young woman.

The apartment was pitch-black. The aunt went inside and opened the curtains. Sunlight streamed in, and Xiang Qing saw a woman lying in the middle of the living room, still holding a rice ball with a bite taken out of it.

Xiang Qing blinked her round, black eyes.

A crime scene?

Or a sudden illness?

Hugging her phone, Xiang Qing hesitated. "S-should I call 110 or 120?"

The aunt crouched down and checked the woman's breathing. "She's just asleep."

After moving into her new home, Xiang Qing came back every day to find the landlord either fainted from hunger in front of the fridge or asleep on the floor because she was too tired to make it to the sofa... That perpetually drowsy landlord was quite a handful~

As the weather gradually warmed up, Xiang Qing often heard the sound of a snake flicking its tongue at home. And the landlord, who could never seem to wake up, appeared to be getting a sharper look in her eyes.
