[The story’s not in the right place right now, so I’m taking a break to regroup. If you haven’t started reading, please don’t jump in yet.]
When Yun Lianfeng, former Star Lord, rebelled against her sect, the sword in her hand was still the one a mortal blacksmith had made before she ascended the mountain.
Her sect said, "Her character is unworthy. She doesn’t deserve to join our sect, let alone become this generation’s Little Sun Star."
Her senior brother brandished the divine sword that should have been passed down to her. "So what if you got the best star position? As long as we don’t acknowledge you, all of this is still mine."
Whenever people spoke of her, they would sigh that all the Star Lords of the past had been upright and honorable. How had such a fraud and impostor as her appeared among them?
Yun Lianfeng, whose name had been dragged through the mud, shook the blood from her sword. "Are you done? I think I could be even worse."
Everyone: ...
Wasn’t she supposed to defend herself and say she’d been framed?
Oh, right. She didn’t need to defend herself. The blood she’d just shaken off the ground seemed to belong to her senior brother, the one who went around badmouthing her.
Countless people hated and feared her.
And she alone strode upward through raging winds and thunder, laughing and drinking high above the clouds, cleansing the world of its darkness and watching all ages shine bright.
[Pigeon Author’s Chatter]
1. I’ve been reflecting. Maybe the silly blurb felt too disconnected from the actual story, and my collection count got flattened by the pigeons downstairs. I’m switching back to the first version of the blurb, the one without the male lead’s perspective.
2. The male lead should be an assistant-type character.
3. I’m writing without an outline. To keep my thoughts from going astray, I won’t read comments while the novel is being serialized. (A sinister pigeon grin: Now if someone says I can’t write, I won’t even see it, hehehehehehehe!)
4. I’m sharing an upcoming novel early. This week’s preview is After Campus Lockdown, I Turned My Dorm into a Five-Star Restaurant. I’ll open the one with the higher collection count.
Su Xing is a contestant in the Interstellar Cooking King Championship. To win the audience vote, she decisively chooses the hell-difficulty challenge mode.
Then she’s dropped onto a university campus in 20xx, after a pandemic, and has one year to build a reputation as a top chef while posing as a student.
Su Xing: "This isn’t even the hardest period in human history. I don’t have to start by building infrastructure just to cook. What could be so difficult?"
Then she discovers the dorm has limited electricity, knives are banned, and the campus is completely sealed off. There’s nowhere to build anything. The only ingredient in sight might be an unquarantined dog that crawled through a hole in the wire fence.
Su Xing: ...
She drops to her knees with a thump.
A year later, the whole world knows that the best restaurant in Huaguo is located in a student dorm.
There, you can enjoy the most exquisite cooking, be among the first to try innovative dishes taking the world by storm, and dine in the most luxurious surroundings.
High-powered guests bring foreign dignitaries to the restaurant, and successful businesspeople need to show a negative COVID test from within the past forty-eight hours to get a meal.
Only those trapped on campus can feast there freely.
A reporter interviews her through the wire fence: "How did you come up with the idea of making such good use of a student dorm?"
Su Xing smiles bitterly. "Do I look like someone who can get out?"
[Notes]
1. Dogs aren’t on the author’s menu, so the campus strays are safe. They won’t end up in the protagonist’s pot.
2. This is an alternate modern setting. You can think of it as a full-immersion game in the interstellar era. The map is tiny, and the protagonist won’t be able to leave campus even by the end. (So sad.)
3. This is the author’s wish-fulfillment story. Ever since starting university, I’ve either been taking medicine every day or running to the bathroom. I thought the university cafeteria might help with the stomach problems I’ve had since middle school! I’m going to imagine a perfect cafeteria!
4. The author didn’t renovate a dorm room, but sat in front of a keyboard making up a story, so you can see this may not be very feasible. If anyone gets it into their head to sharpen knives in their dorm and gets punished, don’t blame me.
Theme: Face difficulties without fear, and strive with courage.
If I had known I could make money, I would have done it myself hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
It was so uncomfortable to watch. Even though she didn't care that the experience would be bumpy again, it was still so uncomfortable.
Hahaha, so silly and cute
Hahahahahahahahaha Lian Feng walked out of the door and suddenly realized that the world is really big ()
Woo hoo hoo, author, please come on, I'm waiting for you to come back~
My wife is so diligent; Su Changming, alas.
Personal opinion ~ A true hero doesn't want to start over again. Presetting a route for the reincarnation is also considered cheating. There is no need to reincarnate the two into one. The heroine can be influenced by the predecessors, but it is more touching to move forward.
Damn, big, awesome, I like, Modo Modo
It's been a long time since I've seen a book that's so appetizing. Please stop reading.
Let's just say that the male protagonist was really unlikable when he was a teenager.
