Rising from the Coffin to Farm [Wasteland]

[Going VIP on July 12. The full subscription will cost about 5.4 yuan, roughly the same as seeing a pigeon in the park so caked in grime it could cosplay a crow next door, then, in your shock and generosity, buying it a big loaf of bread. Thank you to every wonderful reader who saves my pigeon's life. ]

Fifty years into the apocalypse, humanity has lost all its crops and is huddled in bases, waiting to die.

Mai Min, who has been dead for twenty years, climbs out of her coffin and finds just one expired can of food in the long-abandoned base.

With a flick of her sleeve, she drives off in a modified vehicle, leaving the abandoned base behind and entering the stormy wasteland in search of mutant plants and animals she can still eat.

Mutant plants: I've ruled the apocalypse for ages. Don't even think about turning me into your rations again!

Mutant animals: You, human. My food. Know your place.

Mai Min, who once struck terror into every base in her previous life, smiles. "Why do you think you can push me around?"

Mutant creatures: ...

Humanity, clinging to survival, discovers that the devil Mai Min, who vanished twenty years ago, has returned. Luckily, she's fallen into the same hunger and desperation as ordinary people, so she has no time to cause trouble.

Wait, why are the fruits from the mutant plants in her base so delicious, and the meat from the mutant animals so succulent?

Mai Min: "Want to make a deal? The kind where you betray your base."

Humanity: ... Making a deal with the devil really does mean selling your soul.

Humanity: "How's our surrender pose? Are we doing it right?"

[Writing machine's disclaimer]

1. The heroine's name is Mai Min. Min means autumn. Together, her name means autumn has arrived and the wheat has turned golden. There's no more suitable name for the protagonist of a farming story! (Absolutely certain.)

2. Plot-driven. The male lead is written as the male lead, but read as a pet.

3. A monster-fighting farming story. The author's attempt to step out of her comfort zone. So far, everything's fine, except that this pigeon has no idea how to write farming or base-building (smiles).

(The readers seem to be cheering me on. Lying flat, frying pigeon.)
