What to Do When Your Inner Demon Is an Ancient Demon God

After a mishap during cultivation, Xingzhi was no longer the Sword Lord who could face enemies from every direction alone.

She had lived freely, doing as she pleased and repaying kindness and grudges alike. She had few benefactors, but enemies all over the cultivation world. It seemed her end wouldn't be pretty.

When the news got out, everyone assumed the once lofty Sword Lord was hiding somewhere, curled up and crying.

Who knew the Sword Lord had no idea what it meant for her time to be up? With her newly acquired inner demon in tow, she leisurely headed to the Demon Realm.

The demons gave her an exclusive interview. "What do you think of your past?"

She answered, "As long as it was fun, that's enough. No regrets."

They asked, "You've developed an inner demon and can no longer cultivate. What will you do now?"

She answered, "My inner demon is so handsome and speaks so sweetly. It wouldn't be so bad to take him and live in seclusion."

They asked, "What about your enemies?"

She answered, "Don't I have an inner demon? Why should I deal with them myself?"

The demons: ?

Your inner demon can take out enemies that even you, the Sword Lord, couldn't defeat? That's not how cultivation is supposed to work!

Looking again, why did this inner demon look so familiar to the demons? The more they looked, the more he resembled the one enshrined atop the Demon God Pillar.
