[Harry Potter] Raising a Snake

Years before the war began, Brandt left England and his closest friend because of a vision. That friend was Tom Riddle. As people gradually forgot the smoke of war, Brandt quietly returned from the forests of Albania with a malnourished snake who preferred eating white mice to gray ones. The snake was also called Tom. A loving owner. A pet secretly grinding its teeth. And so begins a heartwarming story that wanders between House-elves and Dumbledore, black tea and canaries, white mice and gray mice. Literary blurb: The wings in Brandt's pupils can pierce through time. But can a friendship shattered by the passage of time be pieced back together into a whole future once the dust has settled? This story begins after the First Wizarding War ends in victory. The protagonist isn't a native British wizard. If there is a pairing, it'll be with Voldemort. I won't revise canon or coddle anyone, so proceed with caution if that's not your thing. P.S. The cover was kindly sponsored by Jiong Cat. Isn't it pretty? (Gazes up at the new cover, thoroughly satisfied.) P.P.S. Thanks to the Bei Ju Cha Ji Art Group for the column illustration! This story will probably go premium around Saturday. The exact date depends on how well I stockpile chapters (ORZ Could I possibly be any more useless…); think carefully before jumping in…
