Breaking Through Tribulation

*

Fuhua was an orphan, picked up by her senior brother and brought to Sword Sect, where she became a living medicine source for Duan Yanru, the sect's young lady.

Having to drink medicine and give blood for a long time left her pale and frail,

but Fuhua was happy nonetheless.

Because her refined, aloof senior brother, so bright and noble, would always show her a little concern after she gave blood.

That was enough for Fuhua.

Not long afterward, a sudden upheaval struck Sword Sect.

When the sect's young lady and her senior brother were getting married, the demon god suppressed beneath the Sword Mound escaped and wreaked havoc across the land. As he fled, he also destroyed the Nine-Turn Spirit Herb that Duan Yanru needed to stay alive.

Every sign pointed to Fuhua, and she had no way to defend herself.

Her senior brother even proposed draining all of Fuhua's blood and making her bear the consequences.

Fuhua went cold all over, unable to believe it.

Her senior brother's white robes trailed across the floor. As cold and unfeeling as frost, he said, "Apart from that, she's no use to us."

At last, Fuhua understood why her senior brother had shown her concern after she gave blood. The person he loved was the sect's young lady.

Later, Fuhua died. When she awoke, she was back in the Celestial Realm, where she learned that she was the Immortal Fuhua from the Ninth Heaven and had descended to undergo a tribulation of love. The one who had helped her overcome it was her husband, the same refined, aloof senior brother.

Fuhua sent him a letter of separation.

No one else knew why.

"Oh, I've already overcome my tribulation. He's of no use to me now."
