Left to Time

"Xia Kong, turn around and look at me."

The girl's clear voice made the boy turn around, and the shutter clicked at once.

Dong Miao has a wall, and on it hang photos of a boy, capturing him in all sorts of different ways.

Xia Kong once asked Dong Miao what she took all those pictures for. Her voice rang out bright and clear.

She smiled. "Because I want to keep you in time."

At the end of that year, Xia Kong found the last photo, which hadn't yet been hung on the wall. There was a sentence on the back:

I'm sorry. For the rest of our decades, I'll have to leave you to time.

* A short story of a little over a hundred thousand words. Not long.

* The story isn't angsty, but the ending is a bad ending.

* Both protagonists are virgins.

* This is for peace and harmony. If you don't like it, please leave.
