A Flirting Genius Has Arrived in the Chinese Entertainment Industry

The little-known Qiu Fengshi has no connections or resources. He got into the entertainment industry thanks to his handsome face, but can only run around playing bit parts.

After being replaced at the last minute yet again, Qiu Fengshi finally landed an audition for one of the male leads in the bromance drama Ideal Illness, opposite the hugely popular young star Lan Xianyu.

Qiu Fengshi: This time, I’m definitely cashing in.jpg

Manager: Speak plainly.

Qiu Fengshi: I’m going to sell our relationship!

Manager: ?

As the saying goes, for a bromance drama to become a hit, seventy percent depends on the story and thirty percent on hard work. A good script is important, but RPS is essential too.

Selling a romance between the leads is the answer in this era.

So Qiu Fengshi stuck close to Lan Xianyu, diligently selling their pairing for all it was worth, with style and conviction.

But somewhere along the way, Lan Xianyu started acting a little strange?

.

Lan Xianyu, the entertainment industry’s little prince who shot to fame as soon as he debuted, hates CP marketing more than anything. His fandom even gave him the nickname “The Unselling Monk.”

Until he took the bromance drama Ideal Illness, and on his very first day working with the obscure Qiu Fengshi, he trended for “possibly selling their relationship.”

Fans: Wait, this co-star is so calculating. Be careful, he’s using you for clout!

Lan Xianyu: Don’t worry, I have my own pace.

Fans: ?

Later, the two went bigger and bigger with their marketing, and the “Lan Fengqiu Yu” pairing became a hit.

The fans were frantic, constantly clarifying: My idol is straight, he doesn’t sell romance. They’re just pure brothers.

Lan Xianyu: I don’t act like this with my brothers.

Fans: ?

Lan Xianyu: You don’t understand. He’s different from everyone else.

Netizens: ? Bro, you weren’t like this before!

.

Bromance CP scams are rampant. Countless heartbroken RPS fans swore they’d never believe in another real-person pairing, and then Lan Fengqiu Yu appeared out of nowhere.

The fans came back to life on the spot. They fell in love all over again, utterly obsessed.

Fans: Sisters, listen to me. This time, it’s really different.

Theme: There is true affection in this world.
