Midsummer Eucalyptus

Unless something unexpected happens, this will be a silly comedy.

After achieving financial freedom, Duan Shilan returned home and decided to take some time off.

As it happened, her best friend's company receptionist had taken an extended leave, so her friend, in a panic, asked Duan Shilan to fill in.

The company's CEO, Guan Xunzhi, was handsome and cold, a rising star in the industry.

He was also Duan Shilan's ex-boyfriend, whom she had broken up with six years ago.

.

During her first year of college, Duan Shilan saw Guan Xunzhi for the first time. Blinded by his good looks, she impulsively went up to him. "Hey, could I pursue you?"

Guan Xunzhi waited and waited, but Duan Shilan never made a move. At last, he couldn't take it anymore and went to confront her. "Weren't you going to pursue me? When are you starting?"

Duan Shilan looked apologetic. "I've been a little busy lately. Could you wait a few more days?"

Guan Xunzhi: "...Then how about I help you pursue me?"

Duan Shilan: ?

Guan Xunzhi looked proudly self-assured. "I'm hard to pursue. I'm worried you won't succeed if I don't give you a hand."

.

Six years after their breakup, they reunited. Guan Xunzhi seemed to have moved on from Duan Shilan.

Not long afterward, at a company event, Duan Shilan was egged on to play a game with a male colleague. Guan Xunzhi couldn't hold back again and stepped in front of her in full view of everyone.

Later, he lowered his eyes, just as he had back then. "Duan Shilan, I helped you get your boyfriend back then. Now shouldn't you return the favor and help me pursue someone?"
