Summer Without Ghosts on Nanyu Mountain [The 1980s]

In the late spring of 1980, Nan Wei Yu's life was a complete mess. First, she was framed at the factory for causing employee casualties through improper operation. Then rumors spread that her morals were questionable. While she was suspended pending an investigation, she received news that her grandmother back home had died.

To make it to her grandmother's funeral, Nan Wei Yu made many compromises, but despite rushing as fast as she could, she still arrived too late. When she returned to her hometown, all that remained for her was a private supply-and-marketing cooperative her grandmother had left her, along with an old house.

Having lost everything, Nan Wei Yu couldn't bear it. That night, she tried to hang herself. She had just kicked away the stool when her grandmother burst through the door and saved her. From then on, Nan Wei Yu's world had two sides, one of yin and one of yang.

Years later, Nan Yu Mountain was developed as a tourist destination, and a visitor complained to Nan Wei Yu.

Visitor: Boss, your place is haunted! Something's not right here!

Nan Wei Yu: No, it isn't. That's part of the decor, and, um, one of the tourist attractions too. It's a hidden event, chosen at random. You're incredibly lucky! We hope you'll come back and experience it again! There are absolutely, absolutely no ghosts in the summer at Nan Yu Mountain!

Theme: Keep striving to live, and work hard for every beautiful day of life.
