[This is the second book and cannot be read as a standalone]
Su Yun died for no apparent reason in her previous life. Only after being reborn did she learn that she was the fake heiress, taken away to bear calamities in place of the real heiress, Su Yun.
Even though she was lucky enough to be reborn, she was still an ordinary person who had lost all her fortune. With no other choice, she inherited the run-down funeral home her biological parents owned, which offered every funeral service under one roof, and tried to get by for the rest of her life.
But at this funeral home, the embalmer was a glamorous ghost who always made the corpses look lifelike; the one who carried the bodies was a retired underworld officer who instinctively reached for his soul-locking chains; and the one who decorated the mourning hall was a ghost bride who always made funerals look like ghost weddings...
A bunch of big shots with quite a reputation, yet whenever something happened to a corpse, all they could do was hide behind the boss!
Boss Su Yun: Death smile.jpg
With no other choice, Su Yun put up another notice looking for a capable employee. Instead, she got a foolish Taoist master who only knew how to catch ghosts.
Help Wanted: Funeral Home Assistant. Applicants must be adults, capable of looking after themselves, neat in appearance, quick and efficient, brave, and able to fold paper money and cut burial clothes. Interested applicants, please contact the boss, Su Yun, at 123xxxxxxxx.
Su Yun looked at Lin Lang's plain and unremarkable resume: ...Fine, you're hired.
At least Taoist masters are all brave. They won't shove the boss out to take a bullet for them :)
One-on-one romance: Su Yun x Lin Lang. A laid-back, occasionally Taoist funeral home director heroine x a taciturn, obedient, well-behaved top-tier big shot hero.
Coming Soon 1: I Am the Witch of Misfortune
Blurb: Yu Monong was never liked by her family. They seemed to care about her, but never truly treated her as one of their own. No one outside the family even knew that she was the Yu family's third daughter. Instead, everyone mistook her fourth sister for her, and believed the Yu family had only three children.
In her senior year of high school, weighed down by the pressure of getting into college, Yu Monong tried to become the kind of child her family would like, hoping for some comfort. By chance, she discovered that everyone in her family except her had special abilities and identities, and that they were searching for a special witch.
To win her family's approval, Yu Monong secretly investigated with her best friend and infiltrated a paranormal criminal organization. But to her surprise, she was the special witch everyone was looking for. Still, not a single person believed her.
Her family told her that even if she had found out, she shouldn't use it to get their attention. They were already having a hard enough time. Why couldn't she just be obedient, study hard, and be an ordinary person?
The person she had a crush on said that if the special witch he had been searching for was Yu Monong, he would rather believe that special witches didn't exist in the world at all.
Later, the organization was completely dismantled, and Yu Monong was found among the criminals. Her second sister was so furious that she slapped Yu Monong in front of everyone. That was when everyone learned the Yu family had a third daughter, who had joined a criminal organization and was of bad character.
Even after it was confirmed that Yu Monong was innocent and had been working hard to gather evidence, the Yu family erased all trace of her to protect their reputation and had her memories wiped.
But when Yu Monong awoke from her deep sleep, she discovered that her memories hadn't changed at all. She still remembered that her coming-of-age ceremony and college entrance celebration had been a raging fire that wouldn't die out, a humiliating loss of dignity, and a secret she could never tell.
Yu Monong: Shh. There's no Witch of Misfortune here. Everyone knows the Witch of Misfortune doesn't exist, or is a useless, worthless witch.
Coming Soon 2: I Pick Up Trash and Raise Ghosts in the 1980s [Metaphysics]
Blurb: Since she was little, Liu Shenghuai's master had read her fortune, saying she was a cursed lone star, doomed to a short life by a combination of ill fate and deadly stars. She wouldn't live past thirty and would be poor all her life.
Liu Shenghuai didn't particularly want to die poor. In her second year after completing her training, she began looking for ways to change her fate. Carrying her entire fortune, two yuan and twenty-five cents saved over twenty-five years, she joined an archaeological team, hoping to borrow some luck from a thousand-year-old corpse and live a little longer.
Then an earthquake trapped her in the main burial chamber. As Liu Shenghuai decided to go all in and strip the chamber bare, the head in the coffin came to life and opened its eyes to see her rummaging through the clothes on its corpse.
Liu Shenghuai silently met the head's gaze, then covered its eyes with her hand and tried to hypnotize it: "You woke up too fast. No one's rummaging through your coffin. Go back to sleep."
The head: "..."
To stay alive, Liu Shenghuai reluctantly stole the other person's head. Before leaving, she thumped her chest and promised, "Don't worry, I'll take good care of you. Stick with Sister Huai! We'll go hungry nine times in three days! No, wait, I'll feed you nine times in three days."
The head: "..."
Once they got out of the tomb, this was how things really went:
Liu Shenghuai: "You know I've been broke since I was little, and I left my mother behind. I can only pick up trash to scrape by... I have no money, but you can have my life. My main selling point is keeping you company!"
The head: "." So now I have to support you with nothing but a head, is that it?
Liu Shenghuai: "OvO"

Theme: The truth should not be buried with the dead.
Lin Lang always felt choked during this operation. Although Su Yun persuaded him to rebel in the end, he still felt choked and uncomfortable.
It's great to watch. I first watched The Great Tailor Shop, then I watched Feng Shui Master of the 1980s, and then I watched these two movies, but every one of them was great to watch!!!
Everyone in the Su family is mentally ill, no one is normal.
This emotional line is very comfortable to write 🐶
I'm really struggling to write the emotional line... Emmmmm, it feels weird at the end???? So this is how the author set him up at the beginning...
It feels like the author is trying to write an emotional line...
