Ji Pingsi

Shh, don't speak.

-- Xie Buhai

In his previous life, Xie Buhai was a celestial official appointed by the Heavenly Dao, wielding his sword to vanquish demons and protect all living beings.

In this life, he's just an ordinary employee at the Sacrificial Affairs Bureau, with standard benefits.

After he was injured on duty, the world changed in the blink of an eye. Not only was his weapon confiscated because he was injured while handling a case, but he was demoted as well.

Xie Buhai's newly arrived, parachuted-in superior is named Sui Lian. He doesn't talk much, but he's brazen enough. On their very first day, Sui Lian destroys the Taotie illusion right in front of Xie Buhai.

Badass!

The second time they meet, Sui Lian goes straight and wrecks the Black Tortoise's lair.

Xie Buhai is completely stunned. What a force to be reckoned with!

"Sui Lian, do you have a lazy eye or something? Why do you keep staring at me?"

"I..."

"Don't say you like me. That doesn't work on me."

"I like you."

Xie Buhai's face suddenly turns red. "You... don't push your luck!"

[Reader's Guide]

1. Pure-looking but scheming special team leader seme x a tsundere uke who talks too much. One-on-one, happy ending.

2. Inspiration came from the locked story next door, Fox Demon. The protagonists are different, the core concept has changed, and the plot will not be repeated.

3. The Six Realms are not scientific, and neither are the gods and monsters. Everything depicted is fictional. Please don't nitpick or offer writing advice...
