Five thousand years ago, chaos engulfed the Dongxiang Divine Clan. The High Priest Fusang died in a ritual sacrifice to Heaven, and the Divine Clan vanished from the world.

Five thousand years later, Jiang Ye went to the forests on the southwestern frontier to apprehend a fugitive. He accidentally fell into a cave, and his blood dripped onto a soul-summoning banner, bringing Fusang back to life.

Legend had it that Fusang was the barrier of the Classic of Mountains and Seas, and that if Fusang awoke, the Classic of Mountains and Seas would awaken too. The world would surely fall into chaos.

Jiang Ye showed Fusang the rumor and asked, "Is it true?"

Fusang nodded. "You'd believe anything, even if someone just farted."

Jiang Ye stopped believing him, only to find out the rumor was true.

The paintings were destroyed, the mountains and seas overturned, and Fusang emerged into the world...

It was nothing more than history repeating itself. Fusang stepped forward to stop the mythical beasts, just as the High Priest had once gone to his death. But this time, Jiang Ye ran after him and stood by his side.

"Didn't you say it was fake?"

He turned to the mortal and said, "Idiot."

"Let's go home."

[Reader's Guide]

1. A modern alternate universe, and a very loose one! Most of the spirits and monsters are made up, and the place names are fictional too.

2. The soul-summoning banner was inspired by the "Figure of a Man Riding a Dragon," unearthed from a Chu tomb dating to the Warring States period. It was a funerary banner meant to guide the tomb owner's soul to Heaven.

3. The figure on the cover is a stock image, not an exclusive purchase.

Before his coming-of-age ceremony, Lu Qian's sect was destroyed, the seal on the Demon Locking Pagoda was broken, and the Eastern Continent fell into ruin. In the span of a day, all the sects were wiped out. Fortunately, his sect, White Jade Tower, managed to send him to the mortal world at the last moment.

During his flight through the mortal world, Lu Qian was hunted by the demon race and reviled by mortals. At last, he fled to Kunlun, intending to end his life. But exhausted, he collapsed in the midst of a blizzard, where a blue-eyed, blond-haired man rescued him.

The man introduced himself as Otto, from the distant Western Continent, and told Lu Qian that he could also call him by his new name: Yue Shishen.

But this barbarian's words and actions were simply outrageous, and he was so shamelessly debauched that when he rushed up to Lu Qian for the first time and puckered his lips, Lu Qian slapped him without hesitation.

Yue Shishen's deep blue eyes flickered. He seemed... excited!

No one had ever treated him like that before!

He wanted another slap.

He leaned in.

Lu Qian cursed him for being crazy and tried to drive him away, but he refused to leave.

So Yue Shishen doggedly followed Lu Qian. He said he came from the Western Continent, where he was the last god. He had crossed the River of the Dead and escaped only after a fierce battle with a three-tongued monster called Typhon Tigris.

Lu Qian didn't believe him.

Then he said, "The Prophecies of the Western Continent say that a god will come from the Eastern Continent, and that a god will rise from the abyss."

It was only later that Lu Qian discovered Yue Shishen had been telling the truth. But the newly born god was Lu Qian himself, and it had all been a lie engineered by the Western Continent to make a god.

1. Mechanical arts are everywhere. The story features a clash between the Eastern and Western Continents, with countless original settings. The main setting is a cultivation world.

2. A skilled, cold-faced but warm-hearted receiver who practices the art of Lu Ban, paired with a debauched fallen-god top. One-on-one, happy ending, age gap with the top younger, strong leads. The top genuinely has Western features.

3. An ancient setting, but biology is advanced, and prosthetic limbs and other inventions appear.

4. In this parallel world, there are only two continents: the Eastern Continent and the Western Continent.

5. Biology, medicine, and the like cannot be explained by science. The whole story is made up and set in a fictional world.
