The Heavenly Master Is Retiring

I really just want to retire!

Si Kuang

After more than a thousand years of enduring the eternally dull work of a Celestial Master in the human realm, Si Kuang finally couldn't take it anymore. He came clean and announced he was retiring.

Before he could pass on the position of Celestial Master, the stars suddenly shifted. Chaos engulfed the human realm, and strange beasts ran rampant. Looking at the turmoil before him, Si Kuang instinctively knew he was trapped. He couldn't help but demand, "These demons and monsters haven't made trouble for a thousand years. Now that I'm quitting, they decide to torment me?"

Si Kuang steeled himself. If he said he was done, he was done. While no one was paying attention, he stuffed all the demon-slaying treasures into the hands of the next Celestial Master. Then he packed his bags overnight and went down the mountain. After that, he found a small Taoist temple and became a carefree recluse.

Who could have guessed that one bizarre case after another would suddenly arise in the mortal world, with countless innocent people dying violent deaths? Even the Special Investigation Office of the Human Realm couldn't sit still and came to ask him for help.

Director of the Special Investigation Office: "Master Celestial, please come out of retirement and subdue the demons!"

Local granny: "I bow before you, Master Celestial! Please save my whole family!"

Strange beasts and demons: "Master Celestial, this little demon begs you for help!"

Current Celestial Master: "Master! Please save your disciple!"

Si Kuang: I really just want to retire in peace!

[A not-so-serious reading guide]

1. Without a doubt, this is a no-CP story. The male lead isn't weak, but his abilities are limited. This is definitely not a power fantasy!

2. Ghosts, demons, and monsters aren't scientific. The strange beasts and demons are all fictional.
