Ximu Xuchuan is a hardworking employee.

One day, on her way to work, she sees her company turn into fireworks on the horizon.

To survive, she joins the Port Mafia with the help of a kind stranger and becomes a central figure.

Ximu Xuchuan: Joining the Port Mafia feels like coming home. Everyone there is talented and pleasant to talk to. I can't run away more than a few hundred meters, and going on strike is out of the question. The only way I can just about make ends meet is by working myself to the bone for Mr. Mori.

-

By day, she's a diligent employee. By night, she sometimes steals chickens and dogs, sometimes scares children, and always operates in the gray areas.

She's highly skilled and doesn't play fair.

Ximu Xuchuan: I love working, and I love slacking off even more.

Dazai: Pay your debts. That's only right.

Amuro: Pay your debts. That's only right.

Mori: Pay your debts. That's only right.

Kaito: Pay your debts. That's only right.

Akutagawa: You're already dead... Ahem.

Chuya slowly types a question mark.

Ximu Xuchuan: I'm just an ordinary worker, that's all.
