There has always been a legend in the world of cards: a player with the codename "Lei."

He holds the top spot on the points leaderboard, has set records for clearing multiple instances, and possesses the strongest weapon, "Poker."

Rumor has it that the gods have blessed his eyes, and that every living thing he sees becomes nourishment for his cards.

Until one day, "Lei's" cards stopped working.

Su Mingxuan received "Poker" as soon as he entered the world of cards. The price was that he could no longer see things at will, including his own reflection in a mirror.

But that was fine. Staying alive mattered most, and Su Mingxuan was quite satisfied with the arrangement.

Until his cards suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason. Worse, they seemed to have become sentient, and wrote a line on the card without the slightest attempt at hiding it: "Kiss me once and I'll let you use me."

Su Mingxuan: Slowly types a question mark.

So was he being flirted with by a sentient card?

Later, the players noticed that "Lei" had a man by his side, someone crazier than anyone else, who saw everyone as an ant, yet behaved more obediently than anyone whenever he was with "Lei."

"I've been so good. When will Lei let me kiss him again?"

Su Mingxuan, holding his aching lower back: Just one kiss? Not even a ghost would believe you.

The top is mostly a background character early on.

The instances aren't brain-burning. The author isn't clever enough for that.

Even when he was relaxing at home, playing video games, people would suddenly break in through his balcony. A group armed with all kinds of weapons would surround him, too afraid to look him in the eye, their vision blurred by cold sweat. At last, they would force out a single sentence: "Please... please leave this place."

Jiang Chuan calmly opened his textbook and said, "This is my house."

"It's so strange, don't you think?" Later, after learning that those people feared him because they thought he was an evil god, Jiang Chuan, an ordinary-looking high school student in his uniform and backpack, stood with one foot on a strange creature and spoke with an innocent expression.

"How could I possibly be an evil god?"

The protagonist is an utterly ordinary high school student. How could he be an evil god, right?
