My Disciple Wants to Defy His Master Every Day

[Key Point: Teacher and student take turns in the lead.

A pair of master and disciple each believes the other has someone they can never forget, and they spend centuries brewing a vat of jealousy until it nearly turns sour.]

Everyone in the sect knows that their otherworldly founder, Qing Juezi, has a beloved he cannot have, and that he has stubbornly searched for that person for a hundred years.

As Qing Juezi's first disciple, Yu Huaiyuan has been troubled by this for a long time. At last, when his master once again showed his disappointment at failing to find his beloved, Yu Huaiyuan resolutely asked to leave the sect and go down the mountain to gain experience.

Who could have guessed that just a month after he left, he would receive an urgent message from the sect telling him to return at once: Qing Juezi had gone into seclusion, made a mistake, and suffered a cultivation deviation?

Looking at his master pressing down on him, struggling to restrain himself, Yu Huaiyuan wondered: should he be like Liu Xiahui and remain unmoved with a beauty in his arms, or die beneath peonies and enjoy himself even as a ghost?

Later, once Qing Juezi had recovered, he brought Yu Huaiyuan before a mortal who looked seven or eight parts like him. Closing his eyes with a look of restraint, he said, "I found him for you. But mortals have short lives, barely a hundred years, so cherish him."

Then, as if unwilling to see whether his disciple was delighted or disappointed, he turned to leave. "When he dies a hundred years from now, I'll help you find his next life."

Yu Huaiyuan: "...Huh?"

So the beloved who had made him jealous for so long didn't exist at all. The one with a beloved was him, not his master!!??

P.S.:

○ A seemingly carefree and open-minded, but actually lovesick and obsessive disciple X a master who is as restrained, ascetic, and aloof as he seems

○ Master and disciple take turns in the lead; both are devoted only to each other; mutual unrequited love

○ The supposed beloved is a misunderstanding. Each is the other's one true love, forever etched in their heart

○ The master has always thought he was a substitute, and that his disciple had someone else in his heart
