#A speed-bullet premise, heavily modified#
Imagine him with the romantic sweetness of a Brucey-bear and the undying brilliance of the God of Man, as well as... a superpowered polyhedron with a body of steel who is turning you into a watch.
Luthor & Joker: Damn it. We're going on strike.
When Superman Clark Kent from the Devastator's world was ten, he was born again as Bruce Wayne on a certain Earth in the Injustice Multiverse.
One soul, working two fronts.
He, Superman Clark Kent AKA Batman Bruce Wayne, has died, had his back broken, and become a dictator. He's killed Supermen and imprisoned Batmen, and single-handedly scored two happy endings.
Now, with his two bodies merged and switchable, Kal-El can finally enjoy a properly normal life of recuperation, complete with the Justice League.
The God of Man slowly descended through Earth's sky, his crimson cape snapping in the sun. His godlike, flawless face was solemn and pure. In silence, he was a gracious listener; the moment he smiled, no one could resist his pure, radiant divinity.
Even when League members met for combat briefings, they regarded this utterly reliable teammate as if they were gazing upon a radiant, impartial god, free of personal feelings.
Someone to admire from afar, never to approach.
"I heard that even the Justice League members fear Superman more than they like him, and that he's very distant with them."
The sweet-hearted fairy Superman, carrying Superman PTSD +1, Batman PTSD +1, and Wonder Woman PTSD +1: "?"
Five years after the Justice League was founded, only Batman and Superman had yet to reveal their civilian identities. Everyone agreed that Superman couldn't possibly live among ordinary people, while Batman secretly searched for Superman's identity year after year.
One day, Batman disappeared, and the Justice League members took turns patrolling Gotham.
On Superman's day, the entire city of Gotham heard the Joker laughing at Superman on live television: "My dear little Bat, why didn't you come back to Gotham? Why put on a boy scout costume and fly around instead? What's so great about Luthor? Just because Gotham rejected you, are you abandoning your favorite Uncle Joker too?"
All of Gotham was dumbfounded.
"What? Superman is Batman!"
"What? So Superman and Luthor really are a thing!"
"Oh my God! Batman and Luthor are true love!"
"Damn it! The Joker is treating Superman as a Batman substitute! Unacceptable! Batman is one of a kind and irreplaceable!"
Superman, face-to-face with the Joker: "..." [cold.jpg]
#The identity reveal no one ever saw coming#
#Don't ask. The Joker's Bat-radar went off#
Only Luthor protested: "Superman is my enemy! He has nothing to do with the Joker or Batman!"
Joker: "Pah, pah, pah! Oh, Bat~ [sings passionately] When you change bodies and hide in the crowd, I spot you at a glance~"
Batman, just back in Gotham and greeted by this whole spectacle: "...??"

[Note]
1. Set against the backdrop of the Injustice reboot, with Kal-El at the center. The author will do their utmost to make the protagonist look cool. A lighthearted, sweet story, with plenty of friendship, family, and romantic fluff, plus the tiniest hint of bittersweet angst.
2. Parallel-world body swaps, identity reveals one layer after another, a Superman/Batman love triangle showdown, and flashback warnings.
3. Identity tropes, the world's best partners are firmly friendship-only, and a friendship-focused selfcest story with various pairings (SuperBat/BatBat/SuperSuper).

[Quick Guide: Setting and Related Details]
1. [Speeding Bullets premise]
From the background of the DC comic Superman: Speeding Bullets: What if the Kryptonian infant's spaceship had landed at Wayne Manor, and the baby had been named Bruce Wayne? This story only takes the basic inspiration of "What if Superman and Batman were the same person?" The plot is unrelated to the original Superman: Speeding Bullets comic.
2. [Devastator Batman]
See the DC comic Dark Nights: Metal. The story takes place on Earth -1 in the Dark Multiverse. When Superman turns evil and goes on a killing spree for unknown reasons, Batman injects himself with Doomsday serum and becomes the Devastator, killing Superman. Later, the Devastator loses his sanity and, upon regaining it, discovers that he has destroyed his own world.
3. [Injustice League]
See the game Injustice: Gods Among Us, a DC fan game produced by WB. It has its own Injustice Multiverse setting, separate from the comics. In simple terms, players make different choices as they play, leading to different storylines and endings, which create a collection of parallel Injustice universes. DC later adapted the game into the comic Injustice: Gods Among Us.
The phrase "had his back broken" in the title refers to Batman having his back broken more than once during his career. In Injustice, specifically, it refers to Injustice Superman breaking Batman's spine after breaking into the Batcave. The title refers to that incident.
4. [Earth One Superman]
Superman from Earth One in the Justice Multiverse. It's a more realistic universe than the main Earth-0. Some aspects of the protagonist Kal's characterization are inspired by him.
Premise: Born wicked, destined for holiness.
