[Western Crossover] When You’re a Caped Crusader

A different Batman. Don’t read if that bothers you. Maybe he’s a little dark? Maybe? Second person You were paralyzed. As you lay on the soft carpet of Wayne Manor, unable to feel anything below the waist, you watched that person leave through your blurry vision. Your whole body was covered in images of death, your eyes closed. Suddenly, you wanted to laugh. Your hands gripped the carpet, tense enough for the veins to stand out. You heard Alfred breathing heavily and saw him standing in the hallway, looking at you sadly. His usually calm eyes were now full of grief. He was worried about you, even though he himself wasn’t doing too well. But the butler’s attention was always on you. You forced the corners of your mouth to fall. Blood ran from your forehead to the corner of your lips. Before you even noticed, your sensitive taste buds had already sent the metallic flavor racing through your mind. After a deathly silence, you still gave your butler a faint, reassuring smile. You raised your blood-soaked arm to wipe your face and said hoarsely, “It’s all right, Alfred. I’m fine, I’m fine…” Your back had merely been broken. You might never stand again and might have to spend your days in a wheelchair. You reassured him, “Don’t worry, Alf. I’ll get better. We’ll all get better.” …You told your butler not to worry. But unfortunately, you could never wipe your face clean again. Theme: None.
