From the Asylum to Becoming a God in Infinite Games

Jian Qing is an NPC in an asylum game instance. He has no normal human emotions and no sense of right or wrong. He's a thoroughly obnoxious sadist who delights in tormenting others. Every day, he plays the pitiful victim to fool the players. Once his disguise is exposed, he chases them around until they panic, then slaughters them without mercy.

Of course, he doesn't know he's an NPC. He thinks he does all this simply because he enjoys it.

Until one day, a strange player appears in the instance. The player falls in love with Jian Qing's disguise and says they'll take him out of the game.

The player reveals that they're a player, and explains that this asylum is just one game instance.

Beyond this instance lies a much bigger world.

And he's just an NPC in a small, A-rank instance.

Jian Qing is stunned. He never imagined he was an NPC.

The player promises that once they've won, they'll take Jian Qing outside to see the world.

Overjoyed, Jian Qing agrees, filled with anticipation for what lies beyond.

But that useless player dies in the instance.

Jian Qing: ...

Jian Qing comes up with a plan of his own, destroys the asylum instance, finds a bug, and makes his way to the Main God world alongside the players.

No one could have imagined that the little boy who logged into Homesick Island that day would one day challenge the Game's Main God alone, change the rules of the infinite game world, and become its new god.

Instance 1: Asylum

Jian Qing disguises himself as a newbie and joins the players, slaughtering his fellow NPCs.

Players: This newbie is so reliable!! [Clinging to his coattails]

Ghosts: Boss, don't shoot!! It's me! -- Aah!! [Dies]
