[Plot Synopsis]
Xie Yan was an ordinary sword cultivator from an unremarkable little mountain in Tianyu Continent.
He was born into the imperial family, but was content to leave the world behind and pursue the Dao. His talent was exceptional, yet he happily chose a secluded life.
His life was supposed to be calm and uneventful: cultivating in seclusion for a thousand years, then comprehending the Dao and ascending to immortality.
But one day, the Demon Lord and Demon Emperor arrived in person, destroyed the mountain where he lived, and killed his master and junior fellow apprentice.
That was the day Xie Yan learned that when grief reaches its very limit, you don't feel sad. All he felt was hatred!!!
If someone wouldn't let him live in peace, he'd kill them!
If Heaven wouldn't let him live in peace, he'd pierce the sky!
What did the Demon God matter? What did the Heavenly Dao matter??!
I'll kill them all and show you. That's all there is to it.
...Really, he was supposed to be an ordinary sword cultivator living in seclusion.
Tell me, why provoke him?
[Romance Synopsis]
After the people of the Demon Continent invaded, everyone on the mountain was either dead or wounded. In the end, the only one left by Xie Yan's side was his junior fellow apprentice, Xu Xiaoge.
This fellow was hardly a dutiful junior apprentice. With his roguishly handsome looks, he was born to love chasing cats and dogs and flirting with flowers and grass. Real flowers and grass.
They supported one another, relying on each other as they trained and grew. After ten years wandering the mortal world, they thought they would spend the rest of their lives bickering and joking together.
Then one day, this guy told him he was carrying Xie Yan's child!!
Xie Yan: "..."
Xu Xiaoge also looked utterly grave. "You have to take responsibility, Senior Brother."
Xie Yan: "…"
Question: What does it feel like to suddenly become a father?
Xie Yan: Thanks for asking, but I'd rather answer the question, "How does it feel to have been moving toward each other for a hundred years, only to realize you've been in love all this time when your junior apprentice gets pregnant?"
P.S. As long as the kid isn't a handful, it's actually pretty great. Do you know how cute your junior apprentice is after becoming a pregnant man?!!
