After Becoming the Only Human at Cub University

Ten thousand years ago, Earth was struck by an unprecedented catastrophe. Before humanity went extinct, the survivors were forced into cryogenic sleep.

Ten thousand years later, Earth had become home to alien species. A pair of alien scientists successfully thawed the only surviving human, Ren Rong.

The alien couple sent him to the "School for the Management and Development of Hybrid Younglings."

Ren Rong thought it was pretty nice. Sure, everyone at Youngling University had wildly unusual anatomy, but for the most part they were friendly.

When it was cold, the werewolf bro upstairs would tuck me into his fluffy fur and carry me to class.

When it was hot, the whale kid across the room would spray a cooling mist nonstop, 24 hours a day.

At sports day, all I had to do was sit on the treant bro's shoulder and cheer. The dragon girl in the next lane had wanted to breathe fire and burn his legs off, but she let him off the hook for my sake.

Before the anthropology exam, I was the most popular person around. Even the anthropology professor had to ask for my opinion before grading the papers.

Huh? Are there any downsides? Well, there is one.

Could my roommate, whose original form before evolution is impossible to guess, stop wrapping his tentacles around me every chance he gets? I'm straight, so don't get any ideas!

What? You don't have a gender before adulthood?

That's your excuse? I don't care what gender you are, keep your hands to yourself!

Reader's guide:

1. Human kid, male, universally adored little darling.

2. Tentacle guy, male, and a liar.

3. More to come if I think of anything.

Thesis: Humanity must be strong.
