The Cause of Ms. Wen's Death

A week before the college entrance exam, Ms. Wen died. They all said it was my fault.

I didn't go to the exam. While my classmates were answering their papers, I jumped from the twenty-fifth floor. I wanted to find that woman and get answers.

When I opened my eyes again, I was six years old. The streetlight stretched Ms. Wen's silhouette long across the ground. Hatred surged in my heart, but I still couldn't stop myself from calling out, "Mom."

I got to live my life over again. I thought everything would get better, but when I turned eighteen for the second time, my mother died a week before the college entrance exam. They all comforted me, saying it wasn't my fault.

I didn't go to the exam. I felt there was something more important to do.

I wanted to get to know this woman all over again.

"I used to hate her for not loving me."

"Now I hate her for loving me too much."
